Before telling you about the RFID applications , it is logical enough to inform about, what actually RFID is?. RFID stands for Radio-frequency identification, it is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders . An RFID tag is an object that can be applied to or incorporated into a product, animal, or person for the purpose of identification using radiowaves. But the application is not restricted, now the modern business practises mainly in supply chain management, logistics and other retail practises make an extensive use of RFID. In April 2005, the RFID Association of India was founded to promote the adoption and awareness of RFID technology, standards and applications across industry, government and academia in India. Industry analysts expect the RFID market will grow to $22 million by next year. As RFID grows at a rapid pace across the world, Indian software firms are targeting the global market in retail, logi...

RFID Deployment Considerations for Accountants By P. Paul Lin associate professor of accountancy, and Kevin F. Brown, PhD, CPA , is an assistant professor of accountancy, both at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. Radio frequency identification (RFID) is transforming the way organizations track inventory and plant assets, and will soon allow companies to automate business processes and asset management. Many large retailers are focusing on deploying RFID in their supply chain management, and most are probably only a few years away from item-level RFID deployment in their stores. As RFID is increasingly integrated into enterprise information systems, accounting professionals must be well...

Kingfisher is a big banner and we see this brand doing many things including lavish waste of money in various events. This all is done though it has a lot of money due. The payments to airport operators, oil companies and vendors of all imaginable items are due and its a massive due. 130 pilots have left the company and major flights have been canceled. This is the time to stoop wasting money on calendars and start paying to all, isn't it? Do you thing they have lost it all in show off?

Social entrepreneurship in India is making greater strides towards inclusiveness by involving every strata of society to tap into the momentum and growth of the country. However, in spite of several initiatives, social entrepreneurship eco-system in India is not coming together as well as it needs to. Their focus and collaboration on solutions should be directed towards not merely one-off acts of charity, but adding up to a vast array of sustainable services across sectors and industries that help people at the base of the pyramid, which is not happening in the country now. In the post-independent era, many enterprising men with social bent of mind had ventured into setting up educational institutions, which helped the country to move out of the chaotic state into a vibrant and democratic environment. But over the decades, these established institutions which laid the foundation for modern India, because of their sheer size, were forced to evolve into large business enterprises...
