Knowing how to win an argument every time, is an acquired art. Not everyone can face being in an argument, and winning it too. It is human nature to try and avoid confrontation, and conflict, as much as we can. However, there are those select few, who have the knack of getting into arguments, about any debate topic , and coming out victorious. I say victorious, because it does indeed seem like a huge war won, when you have a healthy argument with someone, and you realize that your opponent (for lack of a better word) cannot come up with anything worthwhile to say, or simply gives up, out of frustration. In many ways, a manager has to be a leader, so therefore a manager will have many of the traits that a leader does. However, I feel the term 'manager' applies primarily to business, it's in a manager's best interest to lead his co-workers effectively, encouraging them to achieve their goals and targets. In my experience, a leader is more of a social thing; more associated with team work, too. Go to Discussion http://lnkd.in/wUJe5E

I’m an old geezer on the community network who chips in here and there. Over a period of time I get a feeling that some of our less experienced members are not too sure about what to initiate as useful topics for discussion / debate. To help them out I have put together a set of five questions which they may ask themselves before initiating discussions. May I request more experienced members to chip in with more questions / suggestions / guidelines to make the whole process more purposeful. The set follows:- 1. does the topic add value / knowledge to the community? 2. is the topic worthy of attention / discussion? 3. will the topic lead to / inspire action? 4. will other members like to refer / share it with others? 5. will someone from our community benefit from the topic?
