Your are correct Ranganath, I agree with you. And the employee should realize himself and engage towards the work. In this fast growing economy he should engage himself and help the company in growth.
Makrand Bhave  |  Supported idea  "Engage according to Function"  |  2 years ago
Extremely Logical. Engaging according to functioning would mean that the team plays and learns as per the strenghths of their functions and core responsibilities. Its sensible as they would undergo a subconscious exercise of understanding...

No they are not lazy, but their work load is less. Since it is a government sector the scale size is more and the work is splited   and given to many people. So you find them lazy, it does not means they are not doing their work.  :)

Hi All, Came across a nice artical, thought beneficial for all HR professionals : What else does it take to K.E.E.P your employees satisfied? "People work for much more than a paycheck." Most employees are looking for common elements from the people they work for . People, regardless of position, seek a good " Relationship with their manager ", " A positive work environment ", and " Praise and recognition ". Successfully combine these three elements and implement them effectively and you have created the foundation for a great retention strategy. It is obvious that these crucial elements have little or nothing to do with compensation. Instead they remind us an important fact: People work for much more than a paycheck. People not only want their jobs to be a source of income but a source of attaining pride, professional development, enjoyment, and acknowledgment of their skills and efforts as well. With this in mind, I would like to introduce to you a retention-boosting method,...

Hi Friends, I am sharing with the reviews of IBM on work culture, growth prospects salary, done by their employees. Please share your views. A Project Manager wrote: What I like about IBM: "IBM offers a very flexible working environment. In most cases, no one will ask you what time you come or go from office. Neither the logs of the swipe card will be analyzed to take some action against you in normal circumstances. In special circumstances, the company can even allow you to work from home. No blocking of internet or phones . All in all, you are "not" working in a jail. It has a wealth of knowledge..... " What I don't like about IBM: "Sometimes you feel that there are too many processes to follow. The company is so huge that it is a challenge to make people aware of existing processes. I have often seen it happening that sometimes small groups within IBM try to develop their own processes, often unaware that such a best practice already exists and can be leveraged. Ofcourses, Lou...

HAVE. No FEAR. If you were afraid of nothing, what goals would you set? What could you accomplish? What would you do if nothing scared you or made you nervous? Fear stops success. For example, a woman who wants to get married, but she is afraid of men. So she does not get married. Or she marries someone who is wrong for her, just because he does not scare her. If you want to run a business, you will fail if you are afraid of making big decisions. If you want to be a doctor, you cannot be afraid of sick people. If you want to succeed as an athlete, you cannot be afraid of hard, painful practice. Fear of anything can ruin your success: fear of rejection, fear of being excluded, fear of anger, fear of paperwork, fear of speaking to groups, fear of stating the truth, fear of asking for money, fear of responsibility, fear of being attacked, fear of looking stupid, fear of pain, fear of displeasing someone and more. With no fear in your life, what could you accomplish? The Only Way to...

Way back in 1897 William Faulkner said, “ I believe that man will not merely endure; he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among the creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of kindness and compassion .” I’m not talking about anything new here; it’s just a reminder of what we all knew and seem to have forgotten. We seem to have been taken in by the sheer pace of things around us – the violence, the economy driven work culture, the information boom, etc etc – you know them all – and the media has only added up to the pace. We need to look around us. Where have all courtesies gone ? Been to a gathering lately ? This is a wake-up call , a reminder !! We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibres connect us with our fellow human beings; and along those fibres, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects . We need to re-learn to give; so that some of us eventually receive. It's the...
