The recent debate on Freelancing and Regular Jobs prompted me to share this insight. Currently, the market is in turmoil and most companies are looking at avenues of how to reduce cost - all in order to have a good cash balance - which can be utilized in many ways - new acquisition, mergers, and expansion etc - all in order to strengthen their stand in this fluid market. These measures have resulted in salary cuts and cuts in many other benefits that the employee was privileged to have earlier. This sudden lack of these benefits have resulted in low morale and in some cases stressed life style as the employee is no longer able to spend and enjoy life as they used to. The power of freedom wa...

Think Win Win Win / Win is a frame of mind and heart that constantly seek mutual benefit in all human interaction. Win/Win means that the agreements or solutions are mutually beneficial, mutually satisfying. With a Win / Win solution, all parties feel good about the decision and feel committed to the action plan. Win / Win sees life as a cooperative and not a competitive arena. Most people tend to think in terms of dichotomies: Strong or weak, win or lose. But that kind of thinking is fundamentally flawed. It is based on power and position rather than on principle. Win / Win is based on the model that there is plenty for everybody, that one person’s success is not achieved at the expenses o...

A Win-Win situation cannot be universal. It has to be understood as relating to specific type of transactions. It means that all the parties to a given transaction stand to be benefited. Let us suppose that in India 1000 tons of wheat are needed...

What is stopping you from getting what you want in life? Your friends? Your family? A sense that failure – or success – might change your life and that feeling uncomfortable? A sense that the people around you might disapprove of you aiming for what you want, of you succeeding or failing. Essentially it boils down to fear. The big roadblock, sometimes the massive wall in the middle of road that keeps you from getting what you want. How to overcome it? Here´s some useful ways I have found so far. 1. Taking small steps This is good for fear that can seem overwhelming at first. For instance the strong feeling – it can almost feel like a flight or fight-response – just before doing public speaking or asking someone out for a date. If you´re for instance nervous socially you might not feel able to ask people out on dates right away. The fear of being rejected and that others might think less of you if you get turned down can make many of us feel unable to ask the question. A solution...

HAVE. No FEAR. If you were afraid of nothing, what goals would you set? What could you accomplish? What would you do if nothing scared you or made you nervous? Fear stops success. For example, a woman who wants to get married, but she is afraid of men. So she does not get married. Or she marries someone who is wrong for her, just because he does not scare her. If you want to run a business, you will fail if you are afraid of making big decisions. If you want to be a doctor, you cannot be afraid of sick people. If you want to succeed as an athlete, you cannot be afraid of hard, painful practice. Fear of anything can ruin your success: fear of rejection, fear of being excluded, fear of anger, fear of paperwork, fear of speaking to groups, fear of stating the truth, fear of asking for money, fear of responsibility, fear of being attacked, fear of looking stupid, fear of pain, fear of displeasing someone and more. With no fear in your life, what could you accomplish? The Only Way to...

50 Things to do Before you Die Photo by  Anne Froelisch   1. Set foot on each of the seven continents. Antarctica might seem like a tough one, but  here’s how . Once you’ve reached all seven you can truly call yourself a world traveler. 2. Cross a country on a bicycle. A bicycle  tour takes some planning  , but it beats being separated from a country though a passenger-side window. 3. Ride something bigger than a horse. Trekking through the jungle on the back of a  two story tall elephant   will surely be something you remember forever. 4. Live like a local for a month. The experience   of visiting native peoples will give you way more insight into another way of life than two years hopping from one backpacker ghetto to the next. 5. Visit a “real”  blues bar in Chicago  . What better way to leave music’s commercialism behind and find the soul of the blues? 6. Learn another language. This is definitely a weighty and time-consuming proposition, but there are  plenty of resources...
