Some of the main reasons for this popularity are the low cost of construction, reduction in the time taken for the construction environment friendly construction etc. However, there are a few factors to consider before selecting a pre engineered building to extract the maximum benefits out of it and to ensure long durability.

1) Legal formalities : Although pre engineered buildings are easy to construct and take a much lesser time to be erected at the construction site, yet there are a few legal formalities that have to be take care of. The building should be of an authorized design and should comply with all legal norms like fire safety, electric norms, etc. All these legal formalities should be complied with while designing and constructing pre engineered steel buildings, in order to get approval from the government.

2) Monetary factors: It is essential to carefully study the total expenditure estimate provided by the steel building supplier in order to check for any discrepancies. As a buyer, you should compare the expenditure estimates provided by different suppliers, so that the best deal could be selected. However, price should not be the only consideration while selecting a steel building supplier. If the same deal is offered at different prices by different suppliers, then the reason for such a discrepancy should be analyzed. It is not advisable to compromise on quality for a lower price.

4) Construction time: Although the construction time for pre engineered steel buildings is comparatively lesser than that of conventional buildings, yet different steel building supplier offer different construction time. Generally the whole process of fabricating and erection takes around 60-90 days. This time span should be clearly discussed before finalizing the project to avoid any ambiguity in the future.
