Hi All,
I am working in a Software MNC based in USA as Software
Engineer. I am currently based in Bangalore,India. I am going through
this difficult situation. Please suggest me how to proceed.
I
joined this company 2 years back in June month and hence according to
our comapny policy I am eligilble for CTC revision in July month every
year and I got the revised CTC amount as salary in July 2010 month end.
But the company usually sends the breakup of new CTC a week or later,
ie August first week.
The problem here I am facing currently is explained in the following lines.
I
got a new offer on a good company during August 2010 second week. After
much waiting for the breakup of new CTC I decided to go ahead with
resignation since the new company cant wait for long. But I took
attestation of last six months payslips from my financial officer as a
proof of my July month salary according to revised CTC.But now when I
went to financial offer and he is saying they may revert my CTC to old
one. Also he is saying me to return the attested documents. How can I
proceed with this ? Did comapny have right to revert my CTC once it is
hiked?
I agree that I don't have official breakup mail of my revised CTC.
But I have payslip with his signature and Tax reports for 201-2011
which also shows my new CTC.
Please let me know .

An old man, staying in a small south Indian town came to visit his son in Bombay recently. The son in his early thirties is a successful businessman living with his wife and son. The father, having spent most of his life at his birthplace, hardly understands a splatter of Hindi or English, forget Marathi. But he doesn't care. 'I have come here to spend a few days with my son and his family. I don't have to go out and socialize with the city people,' he said. But the son is very excited about his father's rare visit to Bombay. He wants to make the best of it. He and his wife want to show him around the city. And yes, the son enjoys those evening hours too, when he and his father go out and sit in a good bar, sipping their favorite drink. Last week he was in a very good mood. 'Let's go to a five star hotel's bar tonight,' he told his father. It was a beautiful evening. Talking about everything under the sun they had a few drinks. As usual they were offered some salad, peanuts,...

This is what True Love is all about: It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 a.m., when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him look at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer' s...

Rahul Dravid announced his retirement and suddenly we find a new member in the team. Some people think he should have retired earlier while other say he should have continued playing. But all in all I find his decision of making space for someone new right. We need the 'new' generation to come u and replace old before it is too late. This is not only applicable to the game but everywhere. Yes specially politics. During the recent elections when the elephant was run over by the cycle we all knew its going to be one of them. It rarely makes any difference who it is. In cricket the selector don't want to let go the experienced and in politics the inexperienced do not want to jump in. How often do we find a new bee out of an unknown background coming up for a change. If we ask our-self would we be up to participate in the dirty job? I presume that perhaps the answer is 'NO' My question is how can we convince, teach and encourage the new generation to participate in the process of...
