Well, well, well. It’s been an eventful week here in the online world as Google did a rather major overhaul of the web. And there’s been quite a hullabaloo over this matter as many long-standing web pages were pulled out of their usual rankings and banished into the deep recesses of the Internet where no eyes can find them.  Translation: some site owners and publishers found themselves seriously demoted by this new algorithm. And yes, I found myself taking a hit because of this change, and at first I thought it would right itself soon enough, but it’s the kind of thing I think will take a while to shake out. In the meantime, well…. I guess I should sit tight and wait for things to blow over...

Google Launches 'Body Browser'    On Thursday, Google launched the Google Body Browser, said to be a Google Earth-like experience for the human body. Unfortunately, PCMag.com could not get the new application to work, a problem shared by at least one other commenter on the page. Google published the  Body Browser  as an in-browser tool. 'Body Browser is a detailed 3D model of the human body,' Google said in an introduction. 'You can peel back anatomical layers, zoom in, and navigate to parts that interest you. Click to identify anatomy, or search for muscles, organs, bones and more.' The Body Browser requires a browser, such as the beta version of Chrome, with WebGL. WebGL, a 3D graphics AP...

Google’s Chrome OS netbook coming Dec. 7th It’s been a long stretch, but Google is nearing the finish line with its Chrome OS netbook operating system. The company sent out invitations today to a Chrome event on Tuesday, December 7th, where it will launch the netbook, sources tell Engadget . But don’t expect to get your hands on one anytime soon. Apparently, there will only be around 65,000 units produced, and those will go to Google’s closest “friends and family.” It’s a testing method the company has already used for its Nexus S Android phone, and which it seems to be using for its upcoming Nexus S phone. The version of Chrome OS on the devices will also be an early beta release that’s no...

Good to know. After the testing period & if things work out, hopefully it will be as good as they say it is.

I think it has been hyped a lot for the past year. Let us hope that it is not a netbook OS but a full fledged one. I am thinking of having Ubuntu as a secondary OS but if Chrome is better, I might get it.

A small funny video about google ...  Not just a funny video.. They aare merely not just a search engine . They are even conducting some secret research  on genetics and molecular biology . Which will mark a huge impact on human revolution. But still i cant accept and tolerate that how a mere search engine will conquer this whole world

Yes they are going to be here.. and the first destination is Bangalore... Google cars and trikes will begin driving and taking street level photographs of public locations around the city. The images will be made available at a later date in Street View on Google Maps. Street View is a popular feature of Google Maps , already available in more than 27 countries. It allows users to virtually explore and navigate a neighborhood through panoramic street-level images. It is also available on Google Maps for mobile. In countries where Street View is available, the user can access street-level imagery by zooming into the lowest level on Google Maps, or by dragging the orange "Pegman" icon on the left-hand side of the map onto a blue highlighted street. In addition to the cars, the Google Trike - a specially designed three-wheel pedi-cab with a camera system mounted on top - will start gathering images from select locations in the area such as the Nrityagram Dance Village over the next...

Every month, Google makes tons of tiny changes to the way search works. It shares them in company blog posts that present a list of carefully scripted bullet points with mysterious code names in an inscrutable order. Google never comments on the changes beyond these announcements, but it's always informative to spread the puzzle pieces out on the table and see what Google is up to. Here's what changed in April. We thought there were a lot of changes in March, but April was even bigger. Google changed 52 things about its search algorithm last month. As usual, you don't need to worry about a bunch of them. But the most interesting of the latest search changes fall into three important categories. Smarter The more Google can guess (correctly) what we're looking for, the faster we can find it. Google is getting better at untangling our spelling mistakes, interpreting our meaning and answering our questions. One update helps Google interpret your intention by looking at your last few...
