About "Govt measures for credit crisis" topic:

In 2007 the single most important factor that contributed significantly to surplus liquidity in the system was robust FII and capital inflows, which led to appreciation of rupee and thus prompted the RBI to intervene in the forex markets by purchasing dollars and thus releasing rupee liquidity in the system. The RBI has taken various measures lets us discuss on it.

Suman Sharma  |  Supported idea  "Increased Transparency"  |  2 years ago
Exactly!! The need is to make the monetary transactions more transparent to be aware of the direction flow of money.
Abhijit Bharati  |  Supported idea  "Increased Transparency"  |  3 years ago
I agree this point. Govt Should ask lenders to publish details of each and every single borrower (for secracy lender may not disclose telephone number, Interest rate and address). Details should be name (all directors and partners if company),...

I dont think CRR cut will anyway help Indian Corporate Sector. It only helps if money is available at 3 to 4% a year.
Danish khan  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  10 months ago
yes it will lead to the decrease in cost of funds of the commercial banks which in turn will reduce base rate which is benchmark for lending. when interest rate decreases the intrinsic value of financial securities increases which will lead to...

India has to do something about the world petro price. The Indian economy is at the mercy of the petroleum world. There tantrums is causing havoc to the Indian system. we have to find our own fuel to get a stabilized economy.
sanjay dey  |  Added idea  "RBI role"  |  1 year ago
The RBI has done its sharein dealing with the situation. Otherwise we would have become a victim of another Asian colapse.

Its not in the hand of Indian Government only. Our economy will never grow in isolation. If UK, USA and other countries are bleeding, eventhough our government offers such lucrative stimulas package, Things will not improve significantly.
veguru vijayakumar babu  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  3 years ago
I agree with the view that the stimulus package will work for the ecconomy. Inflation has come down to 6.84 % and it is a matter of one or two months for the inflation to touch the desired level of below 5 %. Another round of interest rate cuts is...
sandeep mehta  |  Argues in support of  "No"  |  3 years ago
There is a need to understand why such stimulus package are required. Credit ,production , demand were working propotionately before economic slowdown leading to inflation .Inflation moving northward requires central bank intervention leading to...

1 India Inflation Slows to 2-Decade Low of 0.44 Percent. Is it Positive sign or affect of Recession
2 Inflation is higher or low it doesnt matter for middle class & lower middle class families
prakashraj kumavat  |  Added idea  "Inflation is higher or low it doesnt matter for middle class & lower middle class families"  |  2 years ago
Basically in India inflation is calculated on the basis of WIP (Wholesale Index Price). In WIP wholesale price of the commodity is considered not retaile prices. When Inflation was of more than 10% at that time the price was very higher of...

suchita Ambardekar  |  Commented  |  10 months ago
yes, this is the right time to buy copper, but do so with stop loss in case one takes a trade in MCX.. In case of investments and physical delivery in copper, this is the right time to buy copper and may add more on more weakness.
Subodh A.Soni  |  Commented  |  1 year ago
Interest level in copper & much higher due to heightened volatility. trend + and buy Apr 329 sl 327 and if construction sector + boom the copper industry will see + growth.

IN RECENT times, Maharashtra has been experiencing a severe power crisis. For many decades, it had a reputation for reliable supply and recorded good progress both in industry and agriculture. But because of little or no addition to generation capacity for almost a decade, many parts of Maharashtra are now subject to power cuts for six-ten hours a day. During the 1990s, there was a flurry of seminars and symposia by the Independent Power Producers Association (IPPA) to educate government functionaries about how the structure of the power supply industry should be changed to make it IPP-friendly. Notwithstanding the time and energy invested by civil servants and politicians, the growth in private sector generation over the past decade-and-a-half has been very modest and indeed dismal. The star of the private sector, Enron project, which has occupied media space extensively over the past decade, has been a real disaster for the country. Many power professionals warned the country of...

Credit risk management is a very important area for for the banking sector and there are wide prospects of growth and other financial institutions also face problems which are financial in nature. Also, banking professionals have to maintain a balance between the risks and the returns. For a large customer base banks need to have a variety of loan products. If bank lowers the interest rates for the loans it offers, it will suffer In terms of equity, a bank must have substantial amount of capital on its reserve, but not too much that it misses the investment revenue, and not too little that it leads itself to financial instability and to the risk of regulatory non-compliance. Credit risk management is risk assessment that comes in an investment. Risk often comes in investing and in the allocation of capital. The risks must be assessed so as to derive a sound investment decision. And decisions should be made by balancing the risks and returns. Giving loans is a risky affair for bank...

Traders Crisis Averted As I  noted yesterday , Indian and Chinese diplomats have been working to avert a potential flashpoint between the two giant Asian neighbors over two detained Indian businessmen. And, after some fevered negotiations, it seems like they’ve managed it. The two Indians, Deepak Raheja and Shyamsundar Agrawal, were reportedly being held hostage by Chinese traders  in the city of Yiwu after the owner of the company they worked for, a Yemeni national, apparently fled after failing to clear his debt to the Chinese traders. The traders had been insisting that Raheja and Agrawal must pay the money as they finalized the transactions. When the Indian traders refused they were  reportedly forced to drink their own urine . The incident risked sparking a diplomatic row between the two countries, with one of the captive businessmen raising the stakes by apparently promising to commit suicide if the Indian government didn’t step in and evacuate them to Shanghai within 24...
