1 Identify and eliinate delays in production
2 Employee involvement
By : Isha Verma
Neerav Galathia  |  Added idea  "Depends on the type of waste"  |  2 years ago
It totally depends on the type of waste. Like if it is a waste water or air then efforts should never be made to mitigate it during the production if doing so is affecting the production. Because there are sectors which totally operates on waste...
Jagdeep Ohlan  |  Supported idea  "Employee involvement"  |  2 years ago
yes isha u spotted well, now a day in manufacturing setup pressure is on cost cutting & margin are very low. So controlling of waste is margin. How much we control waste we increase our margin percentage.
Shyam Dikshit  |  Supported idea  "Identify and eliinate delays in production"  |  3 years ago
Small modification. It should be " Eliminate abnormalities in production flow." Steps are Set single piece flow. Introduce measurements to determine abnormalities. TAKT Time, Cycle Time, Dock to Dock time, ship to Install Time etc. Find root...

Prakash Saitwal  |  Supported idea  "Reward People !!!"  |  3 years ago
Isha ji, U have taken one of the most relevant practical problem,. There may not be any single strategy for increasing recycling, but multiple measures adopted at the same time. The measures that may be adopted for "promoting recycling" may be as...

2 Green Certification under IGBC Green Factory scheme

Vineet Prakash  |  Supported idea  "pollution control, treatment plants and mass transport will reduce emissions."  |  3 years ago
Well said Nageswara, the manufacturing plant should adopt some technology to control the amount of smoke emitted during the production. This is the first step they should follow to go green. This can be done by implementing treatment plant in the...
M. Prabhakar Rao  |  Added idea  "Adapt Clean Manufacturing Processes"  |  3 years ago
I beg to differ with Ankit on this as IGBC Green Factory Building Rating System addresses the non-process issues of the Factory Building, without interfering with the process issues. A plant can go green only when it simultaneously addresses both...

Definately making the products which can be re used can help us to reduce pollution to a great extent...Number of products manufactured which are re used, the manufacturer will produce less which will lead to less use of energy, resources, etc...

Military Strength: Comapre India and Pakistan Manpower and Ground Forces India has the second largest manpower in its military globally - at 3,773,300 personell (2005), next only to China. Pakistan has a much smaller manpower of 1,449,000 personell which is proportionally higher than India in terms of their population ratios. Pakistan’s ground forces are equipped with American or Chinese weapons like FIM 92 Stinger SAMs, BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missiles, T-82 tanks and other equipments. I support the fight against corruption which Anna Hazare jee has started but at the same time my mind is full of doubts.. Many doubts.. How can we stop corruption in India? When I was in school my parents used to pay 10 rupee every month to the peons to take care of me.. Though it was their duty and they should have done the dame without money but those 10 rupees created a lot of difference in their behavior. Corruption has strong roots. Corruption has to uprooted and the tumors which it has formed like the cancer tumors have to be removed. Even a single cell has the power to recreate it. We are humans and do not have control on the basics feelings like greed. If you are given even 500 rupees to do one work you will happily take it and start dreaming about how to spend it. While when your earn the same you prefer saving it. When this saving and spending ratio has to be balanced you prefer to be irrational. The cleaning of individual from within is necessary and that can be done...

Facts about "Jana Gana Mana" - Just a thought for the National Anthem! How well do you know about it?     I have always wondered who is the "adhinayak" and "bharat bhagya vidhata",    whose praise we are singing. I thought might be Motherland India! Our current National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is sung throughout the country.   Did you know the following about our national anthem, I didn't.   To begin with, India's national anthem, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honour of King George V and the Queen of  England when they visited India in 1919.   To honour their visit Pandit Motilal  Nehru had the five stanzas included, which are in praise of the King and  Queen. (And most of us think it is in the praise of our great motherland!! !)   In the original Bengali verses only those provinces that were under British rule, i.e. Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Maratha etc. were mentioned. None of  the  princely states were recognised which are integral parts of India...
