About "Haiti & chile disaster: Creating structures which can withstand Nature's disaster?" topic:
The traditional mode of construction for individual houses comprising load bearing walls with an appropriate roof above or reinforced concrete would be totally inadequate for new age construction, with technologies improving people are now designing disaster resistant construction which needs new technology to be implemented.
As there are more number of disaster cases world over we need new construction technologies and new innovation in construction which helps withstand these nature's disasters like Tsunami & Earthquake etc. So, let's discuss the new innovations happening in construction industry. Like all the govt dept. there is disaster managent team in place in our country. But it is very unfortunate nobody is evaluating or updating the system to co op up or able to handle the challenging natural disaster like earthquake/tsunami etc....
