About "How cyber law should be enforced in India?" topic:

Would an amendment to the existing IT act be capable enough of dealing with the ever increasing cyber crime menace? I don't think so, I think instead of amending the IT Act we should have separate laws for each of the classification of the cyber crimes. It is a matter we need to deal with, and infact its the need of the hour as offenders are easily getting  away with cyber crimes which is hard to track as we don't have enough trained professionals in this regard. So,lets discuss here, how cyber law should be enforced in India? and various issues relating it it.

It is well settled and accepted proposition today that the plain and simple meaning that transpires from a bare reading and which is in confirmity with object of the statute is the meaning of the statute. I believe Courts follow it.

Security is a huge part of the job for most IT administrators. We’re always striving to protect our organizations from the latest barrage of viruses, worms, and other malware. With 2009 over, what types of threats could we face in the year ahead? The recent 2010 Threat Predictions report from McAfee ( News - Alert ) pegs a few different areas to watch out for in 2010.     Social networks will be one key breeding ground for cyber attacks, says McAfee. As sites like Twitter and Facebook ( News - Alert ) continue to grow in popularity, especially among the business crowd, cyber crooks will increasingly employ their usual bag of tricks to try to ensnare users.   A site like Facebook can be espe...

Security experts have discovered the biggest series of cyber attacks to date, involving the infiltration of the networks of 72 organizations including the United Nations, governments and companies around the world. The long list of victims in the five-year campaign include the governments of the United States, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Vietnam and Canada; the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN); the International Olympic Committee (IOC); the World Anti-Doping Agency; and an array of companies, from defense contractors to high-tech enterprises. "What is happening to all this data ... is still largely an open question. However, if even a fraction of it is used to build better competing products or beat a competitor at a key negotiation (due to having stolen the other team's playbook), the loss represents a massive economic threat." Jim Lewis, a cyber expert with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, was briefed on the discovery by McAfee. He said it was...

the old geezer writes again. here's a more non physical view of the 'second law of thermodynamics' (SLOTD). the law of entropy, or the SLOTD comprises one of the most fundamental laws of physics. it is also viewed as 'the law of disorder'. it is a straight forward law which states that in a closed system, you can't finish any physical process with as much useful energy as you had started with - some of it will always be wasted. this means that a perpetual motion machine is impossible - it will require doses of energy to continually go on. entropy (subject of the second law) energy (subject of the first law) and their relationship are fundamental to an undersatnding of not only physics, but of LIFE itself. many of us, even today, feel that having aquired the basics (in school), grads, post grads professional degrees / diplomas / skills (in various colleges), a few years of work ex, and a health looking network, our job is done. that would loosely relate to the first law - in that we...

A young woman was picked up in a car outside a night club and raped at gunpoint by five men as they drove around the Maidan after midnight on February 5. They shoved a pistol into her mouth and punched and kicked her, saying "Chillaogi to thok denge (We will shoot you if you scream)." She was dumped at Exide crossing about 90 minutes later, torn, bloodied and battered. If this sends a chill down your spine, here's worse - the police ignored her complaints when she mustered courage to report the incident two days later and even mocked her for going to a night club. Two officers allegedly passed sleazy remarks at her at Park Street police station, when she was summoned for a forensic examination on February 14. And, it was a male police officer who 'escorted' her to the test, rather than a policewoman. The victim is still determined to fight back and trawled Facebook to get the names and photographs of the suspects, but the police brushed it off. They did not even ask her for the...
