I at Wonderland Himachal, through toostep would like to appeal all - that its high time to bring in the concept of Home-Stay in tourism trade. No more jungle of concrete around, already we had enough, lets maintain and keep our rich culture, art architecture and traditions alive. This is what is the need of present tourist visiting from abroad, its nt about hotels and restaurants that they visit India, rather they are keen to get to the ground level and know India as it is. Lets bring the revolution in, it will definately help the local community, providing jobs to them and teaching them about sustainable tourism....

As hotel and restaurant operators prepare for post-9/11-like operating conditions, an effective way to reduce internal accounting costs and utility consumption is to adopt a sophisticated utility data management system. The majority of multi-unit hotel and restaurant operators have utility invoices sent to their headquarters where they are processed by internal accounts payable clerks or they are processed at the property level by management who should be focused on service delivery and revenue management. While on the surface the direct labor costs may make this seem like an efficient strategy, if one were to dive deeper into the indirect costs, and opportunity costs associated with this s...

Hello friends, Times are tough and, as a result, budgets tend to shrink, thus in times like this, more and more hoteliers are looking to the Internet and other electronic sales channels to generate new revenue. How does web 2.0 help them and what could be best ways to do it? Let's have a look at it...!! Marketing and promoting online has become an organic process – less to do with technical systems and more to do with the people that see it. As a hotel, you are no different: you need people to link to your hotel's website or blog to create more awareness about your hotel and its brand. But how do you do it? How can you create a buzz online that attracts other websites to link to yours and c...

21 Tactics to Increase Blog Traffic (Updated 2012) January 17th, 2012 - Posted by randfish to Content Blogging 146 0 It's easy to build a blog, but hard to build a successful blog with significant traffic. Over the years, we've grown the Moz blog to nearly a million visits each month and helped lots of other blogs, too. I launched a personal blog late last year and was amazed to see how quickly it gained thousands of visits to each post. There's an art to increasing a blog's traffic, and given that we seem to have stumbled on some of that knowledge, I felt it compulsory to give back by sharing what we've observed. NOTE: This post replaces a popular one I wrote on the same topic in 2007. This post is intended to be useful to all forms of bloggers - independent folks, those seeking to monetize, and marketing professionals working an in-house blog from tiny startups to huge companies. Not all of the tactics will work for everyone, but at least some of these should be applicable and...
