There are three ways to view every job. First, there is your perceived job – what you think you are doing. Second, there is your ideal job – what you ought to be doing. And third, there is your actual job – what you are doing. Examining your job from all three perspectives can provide extremely valuable insight for improving your performance. Here is how to do it.
First, write out a list of everything you do in your job. This is like a brief job description. List everything you think of. Next, you will want to consider the value of each segment. Considering the overall results you are responsible for achieving, what is the importance of each item you have listed? How much does each one contribute to your results? Rank everything on your list from the most important to the least important.
Then, estimate what percentage of your time you think you are spending on every item you have listed. Consider a typical week, month, or whatever time frame is easiest for you. Be sure the total equals 100 percent.
You now have your perceived job. To find your ideal job, add any activities to the list which you ought to be doing, but are not doing at present. Then look over your entire list again. Ask yourself what percentage of your time you should be spending on each item to produce the best overall results. Again, the must necessarily come to 100 percent.

Good debate.... I would suggest business. It helps you to grow faster and the economy will be benefited from it. This will decrease the employment problem. And many banks are coming forward to provide different loans to help you to start a...

In place of endless meetings and agruments, is it not suitable to make a simple formula by which wage revision will be automatically updated? For example conveyance allowance is linked with the oil prices and so on.

Yes they are going to be here.. and the first destination is Bangalore... Google cars and trikes will begin driving and taking street level photographs of public locations around the city. The images will be made available at a later date in Street View on Google Maps. Street View is a popular feature of Google Maps , already available in more than 27 countries. It allows users to virtually explore and navigate a neighborhood through panoramic street-level images. It is also available on Google Maps for mobile. In countries where Street View is available, the user can access street-level imagery by zooming into the lowest level on Google Maps, or by dragging the orange "Pegman" icon on the left-hand side of the map onto a blue highlighted street. In addition to the cars, the Google Trike - a specially designed three-wheel pedi-cab with a camera system mounted on top - will start gathering images from select locations in the area such as the Nrityagram Dance Village over the next...

If we analyse the nature of students' demand, what they want as customers are: Expert Teaching Quality Learning Resources Well-structured Courses Either Marketable Skills or a Strong Brand or even both Flexibility Fair Assessment The concept that that all learning can be made fun and easy is flawed. Although it should be interesting, the task is to teach skills. It is difficult to get away with poor quality teaching any longer. However, in the area of assessment, there is insufficient objectivity and discipline at present. There is a strong case that all assessment should be anonymous and conducted at arm’s length. WINNERS AND LOSERS There are however a number of areas of new demand which fundamentally represent good news for those in the education sector who can ride the wave in a clever way: the knowledge worker; business advice; the law; health; "edutainment"; financial planning. Not everyone can win. Among the winners in these changing conditions are likely to be: those who...

In many ways, a manager has to be a leader, so therefore a manager will have many of the traits that a leader does. However, I feel the term 'manager' applies primarily to business, it's in a manager's best interest to lead his co-workers effectively, encouraging them to achieve their goals and targets. In my experience, a leader is more of a social thing; more associated with team work, too. Go to Discussion http://lnkd.in/wUJe5E

The changing work dynamics increasing pressure is making many employees to change their job. Many of them either change their profile, change companies, or pursue their passion....... One wrong reaction and you are most likely to severe relationships. But it comes as a pleasant surprise that things are changing for the better. Increasingly, the attitude of organisations towards the person who desires to leave is becoming amicable. How notice period issues can be better managed???
