About "Hybrid Systems & Disconnection of Rural Distribution...." topic:

My idea is to use Aerogenerators which are operating even at very low wind speeds like 0.8 m/s to 3 m/s. And Combining these Aerogenerators with Solar Systems will make a good hybrid power generation systems which could be installed at Huge Barren Land available in plenty in INDIA & by this we can disconnect villages from GRID [from where maximum power theft happens]. My idea is to establish power farms and power co-operatives in villages so that villages can generate and distribute their own power & we are going to save huge amount over import of Crude & LNG. If we could eliminate even 5% of total villages from GRID, It will create a great impact over our economy.

With due respect, I disagree due to my realization of integration of financial institutions & innovative business processes. For example, if 2 ceramic industries having connected load of 200 kwh get together & install a 1 MW system then each will...

Mr. Shailendra, this idea indeed is very good. But, the problem is, not only it will take a lot of time, but money as well. Also, the whole process is very complicated. Kindly enlighten, if anybody has started using this process ort not and how...

I agree. The Awareness about Non-Conventional Energy sources must be taken to student levels, in higher secondary, polytechnic colleges. And the new ideas arising as projects shall be appreciated. Irrespective of cost the Solar power can be...

I agree and  this needs to be done in grassroot level for small power requirements. Since the power generated from these sources shall be very less compared to big power stations .... I agree your point of view about some national policy.

One explanation of the same can be that it is not the class divide that is causing the insensitivity but the high pressured urban lifestyle has made us all individuals insensitive to the needs of those around us. I think this is a fascinating......

Give impetus to Rural Telecom.   By Abraham Paul, MD CEO Future Groups (India), FCOMNET (UAE)   In spite of the few hiccups in the beginning, the privatization has pushed Telecom business in India making the services available and affordable to common man.   Most of the issues in the beginning were due to inertia of the incumbent provider in changing their old mindset. The main aspect of telecom expansion being that it virtually reduces space making the distance immaterial, the initial decision of making the GSM Wireless Telecom license areas co-terminus with existing telecom circles was one of the major flaws. Over and above disallowing of direct interconnects between different networks of the Service Provider forced them to make multiple investments on one side and loss of revenue to the incumbent operator on the other side.      Bringing in the concept of Pan India Telecom with Unified Licensing was a positive step to correct few of these earlier wrong doings. But the present...
