I think that hydro fuel is much better option than gasoline. There are various advantages of it like: More Horsepower and Better Performance The water gas injection has 5 times the energy potential of regular gasoline. A cleaner environment By...

yes even i agree with vivek on this that all over the world there is no proper infrastructure to produce hydrogen fuel on a large scale and nobody is doing anything at the moment to develop this technology apart from car manufacturers coming out...

I think we need to reach outside the box and relook at what can not be done and find a way. We have started contest for inventors to compete for prizes. Will have to add containment ! I still think and know it can be done. If FORD and BMW already...

Proposal to construct dike across Gulf of Kutch between Jamnagar and Mandvi to generate clean and cheap Electricity.  This plan is identical to my suggestion of dike across Gulf of Cambay, but for a different purpose. The idea is to use the sea tide for generating electricity. The dike shall be made constructed in such a way to provide water turbines in tunnels across the wall of the dike. The turbines shall be designed to rotate with water flowing in to the captive area during high tide and water flowing out to the sea during the low tide. Turbine wheels coupled to Generators can produce electricity. Anyway things are not that simple. The water head required  to generate enough thrust to r...

Sir Paul, your idea is majestic. I wrote about the unstructured coast line developments based on an NDTV report, at toostep today. I hope you might have read it as well. We truly need people and authorities to get constructive. The idea like yours...

Defining the area for Windmill project it self a tedious task... not all areas suits.. the area required to build this project is high... also the wind is not consistent all through the year
sanjeeb tamuli  |  Supported idea  "Inconsistent"  |  2 years ago
the lack of popularity of wind mills is mainly because of the inconsistent flow of wind...also wind direction changes time by time..in some countries the flow of wind is also not that fast.
Padmanabhan R  |  Supported idea  "Inconsistent"  |  2 years ago
Can try off shore and near shore options with higher load potential due to the lower surface roughness of water, but the installation cost is very high.

Even though, I fully support construction of small dams, we need to look at larger picture of the whole country rather than a small area. We need to find out where we are wasting the water by allowing it to flow into the sea and where we are in...

I think that the era of big dams is over. We should have small dams and try and do something on rain water harvesting and recharging ground water. Big dams are plain bad. They flood people out of their homes and off their lands, wipeout...

In my opinion, current requirement must be meet, as we are in developing stage & for progress we need the power. For this wholly depending upon thermal sources may be more dangerous. So exploring the new lines for the requirement is necessary. Yes...

IN RECENT times, Maharashtra has been experiencing a severe power crisis. For many decades, it had a reputation for reliable supply and recorded good progress both in industry and agriculture. But because of little or no addition to generation capacity for almost a decade, many parts of Maharashtra are now subject to power cuts for six-ten hours a day. During the 1990s, there was a flurry of seminars and symposia by the Independent Power Producers Association (IPPA) to educate government functionaries about how the structure of the power supply industry should be changed to make it IPP-friendly. Notwithstanding the time and energy invested by civil servants and politicians, the growth in private sector generation over the past decade-and-a-half has been very modest and indeed dismal. The star of the private sector, Enron project, which has occupied media space extensively over the past decade, has been a real disaster for the country. Many power professionals warned the country of...

Canadian scientists have found that the antioxidant power of garlic is related to the organic compound allicin, research that deepens our understanding of the potential benefits of this food and supplements favourite. The antioxidant effects are due to a compound called sulfenic acid, which is produced by the decomposition of allicin, according to data published in the international edition of Angewandte Chemie. "Basically the allicin compound has to decompose in order to generate a potent antioxidant," said lead author Dr Derek Pratt. "The reaction between the sulfenic acid and radicals is as fast as it can get, limited only by the time it takes for the two molecules to come into contact. No one has ever seen compounds, natural or synthetic, react this quickly as antioxidants." Consumer awareness of the health benefits of garlic, mostly in terms of cardiovascular and immune system health, has benefited the supplements industry, particularly since consumers seek the benefits of...
