It’s no secret that an ERP implementation gone wrong can lead to serious problems for any business. Cost overruns, an inability to meet client requirements and, in the worst case, - damage to client relationships, are just some of the negative side effects caused by a poorly deployed ERP system. I’ve seen several companies invest significant resources in various ERP implementations that have failed to takeoff. One of the fundamental reasons for this that I see time and again is a lack of user acceptance. For the most part, the problem isn’t the ERP software itself the potentially leading cause of a failed implementation is limited user adoption – the failure to win over the people tasked wi...

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems have traditionally been thought of as a pure enterprise type of technology, the thinking being that small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) don't have the need for that comprehensive level of software. A lot of smaller companies are realizing the competitive advantage that lies with technology and process. A company can be small in size but still compete in a global market against larger companies. These companies are becoming sophisticated consumers of technology. SMBs often to turn to ERP as a method of planning for future growth, and it tends to be a watermark project for many. These companies are often smaller, with less experience, and it's o...

Becoming Lean has been a goal of most companies over the last few years. Why is Lean so popular? Lean delivers what companies really need in today’s highly competitive world - shorter lead times, improved quality, reduced cost, increased profit, improved productivity and better customer service. A company must take a hard look at manufacturing processes and practices to identify those that do not add business value. A lean approach to manufacturing works with ERP to help identify value and non-value components, with a focus on enhancing core values. Your SAP enterprise system provides a source of information for mapping out lean strategies, a mechanism for implementing new and more effectiv...

The ways are as follows : 1. SAP CRM project resource requirements could be very complex based on the functionality being implemented. The complexity multiplies if it is a global SAP CRM project because of legal and cultural requirements. You can count 50% success the moment you have staffed your project with the right resources. Build a core team that would assist you in staffing the project as you don't have prior SAP CRM project implementation experience. This would prevent you ending up with fake experience resources if you depend on staffing firms. Alternatively, you can choose an implementation partner who has done project implementation similar to the project you are taking up. Negot...

It is necessary because the existing BPR system would not support the new ERP system because of its specifications or the mmordernized techniques used.

HAVE. No FEAR. If you were afraid of nothing, what goals would you set? What could you accomplish? What would you do if nothing scared you or made you nervous? Fear stops success. For example, a woman who wants to get married, but she is afraid of men. So she does not get married. Or she marries someone who is wrong for her, just because he does not scare her. If you want to run a business, you will fail if you are afraid of making big decisions. If you want to be a doctor, you cannot be afraid of sick people. If you want to succeed as an athlete, you cannot be afraid of hard, painful practice. Fear of anything can ruin your success: fear of rejection, fear of being excluded, fear of anger, fear of paperwork, fear of speaking to groups, fear of stating the truth, fear of asking for money, fear of responsibility, fear of being attacked, fear of looking stupid, fear of pain, fear of displeasing someone and more. With no fear in your life, what could you accomplish? The Only Way to...

Office Etiquette or Office Manners is about conducting yourself   respectfully and courteously   in the office or workplace I have noticed that as we go from college to the real corporate world it is hard to get used to a different environment. This is for freshers because other would be knowing the thumb rules already.   Always act with honesty and   dignity Chewing   gum   and popping bubble gum in the presence of co-workers is neither cool nor dignified Never   do it whilst attending customers Wear appropriate office   attire,   for example correct footwear, not thongs (flip flops) - they are strictly casual or beachwear No exposed midriff to   display   tattoos and body piercing. Be neat, clean and as   conservative   as the business requires you to be We are put off by   smelly people.   So, be sure to shower regularly and use a suitable deodorant Do not   cough or sneeze   in anyone's direction. Use a tissue, if possible, to contain the germs and then say "Excuse me" The  ...

Do you know Walt Disney’s motto ? Never mind if you don't, but surely you'll know what all he accomplished with a simple motto; "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." Even those things that seemed totally hopeless before they are  started look relatively simple once they are done.  Every day we run into those situations. Those are the "I can't" moments. Instead of saying "I can't", ask yourself "Do I want to?"   If the answer is "No", just go ahead and say "I can't".  But if the answer is "Yes", ask yourself another question: "How can I?" Imagine what you could accomplish with a simple motto, "How can I?" - the world maybe ? who knows ??
