Are we assuming that the supreme court and income tax authorities are above board? And is it their primary duty to do so? We have other agencies for this purpose. Let them do their job without overburdening our judicial system
Kavitha Shankar  |  Argues in support of  "yes"  |  2 years ago

I agree with Sarika - the British at least did us some good. Frankly speaking, all the ex-colonies of Britain starting with the USA are doing very well for themselves.  To really do an informed comparison, just find out the state of the countries...

Tax collection day by day is being liberised to get more people to be involved in paying income tax and to be honoured as a honourable tax payer.

What is the end result of declaring your assets, anayway? You stuff more in the hands of IT dept or the ED and escape the law and dupe the general public. Moreover, the golden opportunity to stash all you have in Swiss Banks makes your job even...

Wouldn't it be wonderful if in 2011, your income and wealth rises at least as fast as they did last year, and the rate of inflation comes down? Right now that doesn’t seem likely. Future is never certain, but we list some possibilities here that will help you prepare for it better. 1. India's rising income to push up your pay package Except those who work for government, everybody else’s income growth, and even job security, eventually depends on the health of the economy, which is best captured in three letters: GDP or Gross Domestic Product .
