Income Tax Rules are a vital part of the income tax as charged by the Indian government on taxable incomes of the individuals, companies, co-operative societies, firms, trusts and any other artificial person.

The income tax, which is calculated on the basis of India income tax rules, is levied on each of the individual person and is governed by the Indian Income Tax Act. 1961. It is the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, which determines the India income tax rate.

Income tax is a tax payable, at the income tax rules/rate enacted by the Union Budget (Finance Act) for every Assessment Year, on the Total Income earned in the Previous Year by every Person.

The chargeability is based on the nature of income, i.e., whether it is revenue or capital.

The position of the law before the introduction of the FBT will be restored, that is the expectation of the FM subject to proposed changes, if any, hereafter in line with income tax 14th amendment Rule.
