Tata Steel is turning to the oldest brand in its stable, Tata Agrico , to fork-lift its share in the fast-growing market for mechanized farm equipment. The company is also diversifying the Tata Agrico portfolio into newer product segments from traditional farm equipment in a bid to breathe new life into the vintage brand. The National Sample Survey Organization(NSSO) discovered in its survey that almost half the country's farmers would abandon farming if they could find another occupation. If the FARMER does not grow food what will we eat ??? It is not like understanding Rocket Science to realize that we need to make Agriculture work if we as a Nation are to get anywhere. What can we do ? Indian farmer is always in a vicious cycle..What belongs to the farmers, should be rightly given to them..I mean compensation..no middlemen is required between the farmer n consumer..they should get a good price for whatever they are growing. Example : The small cotton roll that u buy in the pharmacy costs u around 40-50 bucks..and it weighs around a 100 gms..the gin buys cotton from the farmer at rates like 300 or 400 rupees for around 40 kgs (measured in maunds actually..not very sure about the conversion)just imagine the difference..nobody is looting us for this..we are actually looting the farmer.for this we...

Planting a tree might be fun but when it turns out to be a business venture, it is something worth reading about. More so, as the tree proves to be an alternative source of edible oil or Vanaspati Ghee. The tree known as Phulwara or Chyur in local language is also popularly known as the Indian Butter Tree. Scientifically known as Aisendra buttyracea, the wonder tree produces oil seeds, which are rich in oil content and has the potency of hydrogenated oil or Vanaspati Ghee. Interestingly, it is used as a substitute of ghee in many parts of Nepal, Kumaon and the tribal areas of Chakrauta hills in Uttranchal for the past many centuries. This wonder tree also known as Kalpabriksha locally literally means, ' the tree which fulfills every human need '. It is found at an altitude of 2,000 to 5,000 feet in the sub Himalayan tract covering the Himalayan region, which includes regions like Uttranchal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Nepal and Manipur. The tree can also grow in Andaman and Nicobar islands....

Hi Friends, I am sharing with the reviews of IBM on work culture, growth prospects salary, done by their employees. Please share your views. A Project Manager wrote: What I like about IBM: "IBM offers a very flexible working environment. In most cases, no one will ask you what time you come or go from office. Neither the logs of the swipe card will be analyzed to take some action against you in normal circumstances. In special circumstances, the company can even allow you to work from home. No blocking of internet or phones . All in all, you are "not" working in a jail. It has a wealth of knowledge..... " What I don't like about IBM: "Sometimes you feel that there are too many processes to follow. The company is so huge that it is a challenge to make people aware of existing processes. I have often seen it happening that sometimes small groups within IBM try to develop their own processes, often unaware that such a best practice already exists and can be leveraged. Ofcourses, Lou...

It’s time for cricket business. The next two days will see the owners of the 10 Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket franchisees descending to the garden city with big bucks to pick the finest cricketing talents in what could be a bidding war. A total of 350 international and domestic cricketers are up for grabs to play in the cash-rich IPL 4 to be held from April 8 to May 22. Glitz and glamour will also be the highlight over the weekend with the business moguls like liquor baron Vijay Mallya (Royal Challengers), World’s fourth richest man Mukesh Ambani (Mumbai Indians), the Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan (Kolkata Knight Riders), and the glamorous Preity Zinta (Kings XI Punjab) and Shilpa Shetty (Rajasthan Royals) are set to dazzle the ball room. Barring the twelve players, including Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli have been retained by their previous franchises. The cap on spending for a franchisee is $9 million and for those who have...

Hi friends,I got this wonderful piece of information wanted to share with you all...plz give your opinion after reading.... The exact period of Vedas, Upanishad, Ramayana, or Mahabharata may still be a matter of debate, but no body can deny the fact that during all these periods feeding a hungry person was treated as a greatest service to man kind. “Anna daanam mahaa daanam” is a very popular Sanskrit verse which has motivated millions of Indians to perform this divine act and in ancient India in most of the temple premises there were annadana centers. But, things have changed drastically and now we can see very few temple premises which run annadanam schemes. Healthy rural Indian economy has become sick as British rulers tightened their grips on administration and in 1947 when they left India for ever their policies have forced millions of villagers to hold begging bowl in their hands.India can regain its lost glory only if our younger generation can live with dignity and I feel...
