Number of people using mobile are more than the number of people who use internet. I feel, mobile banking overtakes e-banking shortly.
rosalie de la cruz  |  Argues in support of  "No"  |  1 year ago
No. E-banking is from internet and mobiles for mobile banking. Mobile banking means flexibility because we are only using our mobile phones without the availability of internet communication.
Anita Sawant  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  1 year ago
Though social networking is the craze in India, people would be extremely reluctant to do banking via social networking websites. E-banking will have problems extending to the rural sectors, and this will extend an opportunity for mobile banking...

limitations of a mobile(memory, processor and softwares availability) is a major issue in using banking on mobile. it will have a long way to go.
Chintan Vyas  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  1 year ago
The major issue in mobile banking is security and authentication of all transactions made. Recently I came across a solution to mobile banking which has been adopted as a standard in various western countries. This is how it goes. Using static...

1 Address security concerns
2 Providing secured mobile banking services even from Normal Handsets
ATMA RAM CHAVALI  |  Supported idea  "Address security concerns "  |  2 years ago
Yes, addressing security concerns is a must.At the same time the banks have to campaign more aggresively about mobile banking. Now in India there are more number of mobile users than net users. The banks should concentrate on rural/semi-urban...
Niranjan Meena  |  Supported idea  "Address security concerns "  |  2 years ago
Mobile banking is an amazing technology, the cause of failure is mainly due to its security concern. People feel that banking through mobile is not safe. So improving the security process in mobile banking will accelerate the customer adoption rate.
soumya saxena  |  Supported idea  "Address security concerns "  |  2 years ago
I think the two main factors are awarenes security about the facility being provided.the media channels are working so goo that awareness can be generated in some time . but if there is no security of transactions is involve .it will not work

Opposition against the Mobile banking by RBI is just to protect the interest of the Bank customers. If a full proof system is generated by any Bank for Mobile banking, then no questain of oppositions.
Swati Raut  |  Argues in support of  "No"  |  2 years ago
I don't think this is the right move by RBI, and mobile banking would have made more people come under the banking system umbrella, the only concern here was the authenticity of the transactions that would be hard to track, but then with TRAI and...

Integrity of any political party and its worthiness is judged from the way they conduct themselves in the Parliament and make themselves worthy to the people who elected them.   Democracy is strangled when elected representatives, ignore the needs and aspirations of the people whom they represent. Democracy is strangled, when the political parties stoop down to use the communal feeling of one group against other to come to power and compelled to oppress other communities to appease its supporters. Democracy is strangled, when ‘Playing dirty Politics’ become the main business and theme of the Government and Political parties that support and oppose the government. "The Bitter Pills for India Reprieve" I wrote this in this community in  toosteps.com few years back. The article is available in the following link in www.wordpress.com   http://wp.me/p1ZsI2-5I
