About "Investing in Healthcare" topic:
In 2008, the Healthcare sector has hit some huge hurdles. The Patent concerns and expirations were worries for all major firms, the Department of Justice hit many companies with fines, Big Pharma made thousands of job cuts, and also got demolished with enrollment cuts, and investors struggled to find much, if any safety in the whole sector. Going forward in 2009 will be quite an interesting year in the markets and the ever-so struggling economy. So let us share our thoughts on investing in healthcare..

So where indian hospitals can strategize to get positive results? a) By choosing marketing, brand building and public relations initiatives. b) By adopting innovative ways in treatment or by inventing new process management. What option will give us the desired ROI if we are an entrepreneur or intrepreneur?

Brand building is now common for any healthcare set up but till date more than 80% of patients are treated in healthcare organisation who do not boast of any kind of branding in their business. Is cost still a significant factor in decision making or it is just a choice of common people. Why Brands are not playing their desired role in attracting patients? Is branding anyway related to the quality of services provided? so what option you are choosing a) creating a stronger brand for the hospital. b) providing cheaper services for catering maximum patients.

Which supplements should YOU take? Many of us are seduced by the promise of better health and increased vitality offered by vitamin supplements. But will taking supplements really make us healthier? Tom Sanders, Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at King’s College London, says there is no ‘magic pill’ when it comes to nutrition, and as taking supplements often goes hand in hand with a healthy diet, it can be difficult to evaluate their benefits. Furthermore, nutrients from food are sometimes more readily absorbed and used by the body than those in a pill. Please find below the ultimate guide to the nutrients that are vital for good health... VITAMIN A VITAL FOR: Sight and bones, and to make infection-fighting white blood cells . Despite lab studies suggesting anti-cancer properties, there’s no evidence that A protects against tumours.
