About "iphone OS v/s Android OS" topic:
It seems the mobile world is full of silly little battles these days. You've got the AT&T-Verizon ad assault. There's that ever-popular Droid-iPhone rivalry. And then, of course, everyone's favorite Google Phone debate: Is there a Google Phone?
If there were one, would it harm other Android phones? Or could it become -- gasp -- the elusive iPhone killer?
So, lets discuss more on this??

Mobile phone maker HTC has launched two Android mobile phones designed to secure its place as one of Apple's top competitors. The Taiwanese firm hopes to challenge the iPhone 4 with the large-screen Desire HD and the Desire Z with its fold-out keyboard. Both HTC phones are based on Google's Android operating system. They come a day after Finnish rival Nokia presented three phones to revive its flagging smartphone division. Mobile phone makers and network operators are betting heavily that consumers are keen on a connected and multimedia experience on the move. Smartphone sales soar Speaking at the HTC launch, Patrick Choumet, global director of terminals at network operator Vodafone, said sm...

Nearly everything is finding a home on the Internet, and software development is no different. But this trend called platform-as-a-service, or PaaS, could have huge implications. In theory, PaaS makes it far easier for businesses and other enterprises to develop their own applications, instead of licensing or buying the applications from software companies. The change represents a fundamental disruption to how software gets distributed and consumed, says Paul McNamara, chief executive of small PaaS vendor Coghead. The trend marks "a significant watershed event," he said. PaaS can be applied to any market, by any company, according to William Blair Co. analyst Laura Lederman. "The emergence of the PaaS offering also represents something more fundamental: a challenge to the way applications are developed and to the vendors that currently dominate software platforms," Lederman wrote in a recent report. One such dominant software platform is Microsoft 's ( MSFT ) Windows. How much of a...

The King is ailing, who will succeed the King? That is of course the question on the mind of Apple’s shareholders, employees and to a lesser extent its customers and clients (who will jump to a Droid or Google, if and when they create products that excite and service them as well as Apple products). Despite protestations and reassurances from Jobs and Apple COO, Tim Cook, and despite their not just weathering, but thriving during Jobs-less times, an Apple without Jobs makes many nervous to their core. If we were to think of Jobs not as a unique and irreproducible person, but as a mindset, skill set and capacity that could be deconstructed and then modeled, not only could Apple continue its amazing growth, but other companies might follow suit. Much has been written about Jobs trying to figure out his “secret sauce” so that others might use it to propel their companies and careers to extraordinary outcomes. 1. Dropped out of Reed College 2. Calligraphy 3. Psychedelics...
