According from source, IPV4 is becoming much aware that most networks might be congested specially on security management by the year 2011. Ofcourse, if a new technology has come up then we need to implement that as soon as possible for benefit of all.Talking about IPv6 positives,it has a much larger address space than IPv4. This results from the use of a 128-bit address, where IPv4...

The OSI model: Memorize it. It's almost a cliché, but understanding it is critical. TCP/IP concepts: Learn to think in binary and get a firm grasp on bitmasks, subnetting, gateways (like the 'default gateway') and how addresses are constructed (the network portion, the host portion, etc). Stacks: Read about how the network stack is implemented on hosts. Get a good feel for what each component (the NIC, firmware, device drivers, the OS, etc) is responsible for. Once you understand this, troubleshooting is easy. Layer 2: Learn how switches operate and how they're different from hubs and routers. Understand bridging, and get a general idea of what Spanning Tree Protocol does. Learn the differe...

'You cannot be serious! Why would any organization want to lose management control of its own resources?' That was my network manager response several years ago to the idea of outsourcing. However, computer networking is a dynamic area, and some strategies that were unthinkable yesterday can become very attractive today. This is not an unusual phenomenon; change is only extraordinary when it happens to you! So why has outsourcing of network and desktop management emerged as a reliable and cost-effective option for modern networks? Let's start with some figures first. According to the Gartner Group the outsourcing market in general will grow from $18.2 billion in 1995 to $42.6 billion by the...

Win98, WinME and Win2000) If you have two phone lines in your home and want to use them both to dial out, you can use MultiLink, which will effectively double your connection speed. Create a dial-up connection like your normally would. Right click on the icon and select Properties Click on the Multilink tab Click on Use additional devices Click on the Add Click on the other modem you would like to use If your ISP allows, you can use the same phone number, otherwise enter an additional phone number to dial. You should now connect with both modems. You can confirm this by opening up your dial up connection in the System Tray after you connect.

If Windows ever notifies you about a weak signal, it probably means your connection isn't as fast or as reliable as it could be. Worse, you might lose your connection entirely in some parts of your home. If you're looking to improve the signal for your wireless network, try some of these tips for extending your wireless range and improving your wireless network performance. Position your wireless router (or wireless access point) in a central location. When possible, place your wireless router in a central location in your home. If your wireless router is against an outside wall of your home, the signal will be weak on the other side of your home. Don't worry if you can't move your wireless...

In many ways, a manager has to be a leader, so therefore a manager will have many of the traits that a leader does. However, I feel the term 'manager' applies primarily to business, it's in a manager's best interest to lead his co-workers effectively, encouraging them to achieve their goals and targets. In my experience, a leader is more of a social thing; more associated with team work, too. Go to Discussion http://lnkd.in/wUJe5E

The biggest management challenge in the new millennium of liberalisation and globalization for a business is to serve and maintain good relations with the king-the customer. In the past, producers took their customers for granted because at that time customers were not demanding nor had many alternative sources of supply or suppliers. Since he was a passive customer, the producer dictated terms and had little customer commitment. But today there is a radical transformation. The changing business environment is characterised by economic liberalisation, increasing competition, high consumer choice, enlightened and demanding customer, more emphasis on quality and value of purchase. All these changes have made today's producer shift from traditional marketing to modern marketing. Modern marketing calls for more than developing a product, pricing it, promoting it and making it accessible to target customers. It demands building trust, a binding force and value added relationship with...

Credit risk management is a very important area for for the banking sector and there are wide prospects of growth and other financial institutions also face problems which are financial in nature. Also, banking professionals have to maintain a balance between the risks and the returns. For a large customer base banks need to have a variety of loan products. If bank lowers the interest rates for the loans it offers, it will suffer In terms of equity, a bank must have substantial amount of capital on its reserve, but not too much that it misses the investment revenue, and not too little that it leads itself to financial instability and to the risk of regulatory non-compliance. Credit risk management is risk assessment that comes in an investment. Risk often comes in investing and in the allocation of capital. Hi, friends hope you all doing well in your life.... I'm sharing this information with you all....hope it will be useful... Positive office dynamics add great strength to a business, while strained ones create strife. As a manager , you simply can't afford to leave such an important aspect of the company to chance. There are many ways for managers to bring a team together and foster its ability to work together as a whole. These 10 tips can help unite even the most disparate group of people. 1. Communicate goals clearly Employees look to management for basic company goals. When those goals are not clear, disagreements will erupt as employees try to define goals themselves. By clearly laying out goals, everyone begins in the same place and understands where the business is going. 2. Define responsibilities Offices run best when everyone clearly understands their responsibilities. Provide each employee with a distinct definition of his or her own responsibilities, both...
