About "New Consumer Marketing" topic:
The new consumer here is not the customer you do not yet know, it is a suggested trend in the customer landscape as a whole. He is a new kind of consumer, one who is active, knowledgeable and post-modern. One should urge the marketer to get with the new trend in consumption and learn to reach out to this new consumer type. It’s an angle but the basic marketing and branding techniques still apply. Do share your views on this.

By Caroline Scott-Thomas, A group of organizations from the US, Canada and Australia has released a joint statement expressing their opposition to wheat industry plans to commercialize genetically modified (GM) wheat. The group made its position known in response to a joint statement released last month by a group of wheat industry representative bodies that vowed to synchronize plans for the commercialization of GM wheat. There are currently no GM varieties of wheat commercially available. The statement, “Definitive Global Rejection of Genetically Engineered Wheat”, centers on the lack of consumer acceptance for GM wheat, lack of agronomic benefits of existing GM crops, and disputes the id...

Nice article. GM food might have its own problem like it has done for other animals like cows. hence we should be beware of it. And one problem in reading this article is that due to bold font size. Can you just reduce it.

I do not think giving Discounts is a good strategy..in short term it may increase revenues...but in long term it will affect the brand value..customer doubts if the product was worth the price it was paid before the discount was offered..

Market dominance could not be shown by market share. Market share simply tells you as to what amt. of market you hold from the present position but the untapped market is not included in it.

CES 2012: The top 7 phones at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show By Barb Dybwad, Tecca | Today in Tech – It's all about Windows Phone and Android at this year's event Whereas last year's Consumer Electronics Show was all about Android , the surprise mindshare leader at CES 2012 is Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating system. After completely reinventing the artist formerly known as Windows Mobile in late 2010, the company fleshed out and polished up the OS with the current Windows Phone 7.5 iteration. Thanks to a $1 billion partnership with Finnish giant Nokia early last year, as well as strong continued partnerships with handset makers HTC Samsung, the Windows Phone ecosystem is set to finally come into its own in 2012. Despite not dominating the show floor to the extent it did last year, Google's Android mobile operating system nevertheless managed a strong showing at CES 2012. Motorola announced a brace of powerful smartphones with the Droid Razr Maxx and the Droid 4...

Why is using email marketing services sometimes a better option than direct mail? There are many options available to the business or charitable organization that is in need of a way to better communicate with their target audience. Two of the most popular are email marketing and direct mail. While both have their pros and cons, email is often a better option than its traditional counterpart. This article will explain why by highlighting some of the advantages it has over direct mail. Cost Effectiveness One of the best qualities email marketing has going for it is its low cost. The price you would pay to reach hundreds or even thousands of contacts is downright cheap in comparison to trying to connect with the same number of people with direct mail. More businesses are finding out that such traditional methods are cost prohibitive in today’s economy. With direct mail, you have to factor in the cost for creating your actual marketing materials, printing it all out, and mailing it to...

SEO or search engine optimization has become an important part of online trades in the present days. It has become very tricky over time. The largest engines are Google, MSN and Yahoo . To appear in search engines like Google, your internet site must be listed in their listings or directories. Listing any website in these search engines’ directories means that these websites exist. If the website has similar contents when compared to other websites, there are chances of a stiff competition and chances of getting placed in the first few ranks of the search result decreases. But if the website is unique in its content, then without any competition, first rank in the search result is ensured. So, one must optimize a website with unique phrases or keywords in order to get listed in the top of search results. A few years ago, to get top listed, use of META key terms were common but with the technology evolving, it has become complex and tricky to optimize. There are many methods of...
