In terms of "leadership" it is No; Nokia is still the market leader.   In terms of market share the answer is "Yes", it has been losing its share.    As the size of the market grows, the segement of users get diversified, many new players join in...

quite so. they have lost about 5% of their market share globally in the last 2 odd years. Which is alarming. They now are thinking of moving into direct retail space on their own (ala Apple) instead of relying only on their channels.

I think yes, they are way behind interms of new product offering from the stable of Nokia the last smash hit from them was N95 in 2006, after that there is nothing considerable impact from Nokia, and are left way behind in the smartphone race,...

With so much hype at times brands and products fall flat on its face, and that is the case that we are seeing with Google's Nexus one, which is its first entry into the mobile handset arena, rather I would say it was  Apple vs Google that made Google launch its nexus one so early in the year and is already making its customers feel the heat and is somewhat the fire has died, as there was so much buzz before the release of the product, but let us look at things why Google Nexus one is not creating that buzz? Here's looking into what is troubling Google Nexus One . 1 . Poor 3G connectivity seems to be one big sore issue among Nexus One users. According to reports, Nexus One switches back and ...

Android phones without physical keyboards will not sell as much as their with-keyboard counterparts. Both HTC Dream/G1 and Motorola Milestone/DROID have been big money spinners. Once users have used Android on a with-keyboard device, they will not...

Can not say about the strengths of add-ons. But certainly strengths of efficiency, performance, after sales services, replacement options etc. would hugely impact.

This is competition among them. Fittest can only survive in delivering what the consumer wants. However, Nokia has to give a tough fighting to succeed. Thanks for the referral Ms.Namrata Pathak.

I don't think it is right in saying that handsets alone can't sell in a crowded market like India, we have seen the emergence of so many players in this  space with just handsets, and companies like Micromax and Karbonn and spice phones are...

Nokia begins smartphone fightback with new handsets. Finnish phone giant Nokia has vowed to fight back as it battles for customers in the increasingly competitive SmartPhone market. The company unveiled three new smartphones - E7, C7 and an updated C6 - at London's Nokia World conference. Nokia is still the largest maker of smartphones but is facing stiff competition from the likes of Apple, Google and Blackberry maker RIM. The firm's Niklas Savander admitted the firm had been losing out to rivals. That is about to change. Today we shift into high gear in Nokia's fightback to smartphone leadership, he said. According to research firm Comscore, Nokia's market share has fallen more than 14% si...

Everybody who wanted to see how the new Google phone looks like, This is the first real pic which we have got after a very long time and at last the Google phone has appeared. Forget the Droid, the G1 and all those other Android wannabees. Google will begin to sell its own reference Android 2.1 handset, designed by Google, made by hardware partner HTC, and is fondly called the Nexus One. The phone will be sold online by Google itself. The Nexus One will, crucially, be sold unlocked, giving Google complete control over the hardware and software with no pesky carrier interference. Even the iPhone, which has had almost unprecedented autonomy in its functionality but then later on had problems w...

CES 2012: The top 7 phones at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show By Barb Dybwad, Tecca | Today in Tech  – It's all about Windows Phone and Android at this year's event Whereas last year's Consumer Electronics Show was all about Android , the surprise mindshare leader at CES 2012 is Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating system. After completely reinventing the artist formerly known as Windows Mobile in late 2010, the company fleshed out and polished up the OS with the current Windows Phone 7.5 iteration. Thanks to a $1 billion partnership with Finnish giant Nokia early last year, as well as strong continued partnerships with handset makers HTC Samsung, the Windows Phone ecosystem is set to finally come into its own in 2012. Despite not dominating the show floor to the extent it did last year, Google's Android mobile operating system nevertheless managed a strong showing at CES 2012. Motorola announced a brace of powerful smartphones with the Droid Razr Maxx and the Droid 4...

Why is using email marketing services sometimes a better option than direct mail? There are many options available to the business or charitable organization that is in need of a way to better communicate with their target audience. Two of the most popular are email marketing and direct mail. While both have their pros and cons, email is often a better option than its traditional counterpart. This article will explain why by highlighting some of the advantages it has over direct mail. Cost Effectiveness One of the best qualities email marketing has going for it is its low cost. The price you would pay to reach hundreds or even thousands of contacts is downright cheap in comparison to trying to connect with the same number of people with direct mail. More businesses are finding out that such traditional methods are cost prohibitive in today’s economy. With direct mail, you have to factor in the cost for creating your actual marketing materials, printing it all out, and mailing it to...
