Decide what your article will be about. Research the topic of your article. Write your article using the template below. First paragraph: In the first few sentences, answer these questions! Who? What? When? Where? Why Grab the reader's attention by using an opening sentence which is a question or something unexpected! Now, give the details. It is always a good idea to include one or two quotes from people you interviewed. Write in the third person (he, she, it or they). Be objective. Use active verbs so the reader feels things are really happening! Last paragraph: Round off your article. Try ending with a quote or a catchy phrase! By-line: At the end, state who wrote the article; 'By ....'...

Know Where a Wine Really Comes From by Jim Gordon The mantra of real estate buyers everywhere -- "location, location, location" -- is almost as important for wine buyers. While certain foods and beverages carry a general notation of their origin, like Idaho potatoes and Sumatra coffee, wine can narrow the notion down to the precise plot of land where the grapes grew. Governments in virtually all winemaking countries have made it illegal to cheat consumers by putting misleading information about a wine's origin on a label. They needed to, because a minority of dishonest winemakers is constantly tempted to make more money by tricking the consumer. They make a wine from inexpensive grapes grown in a low-quality growing region, then pass it off as something pedigreed and expensive. Most wine producers are honest, of course, but it's still important to know what you're buying. Look carefully at the wine label to learn at least the minimum. Abraham Lincoln once said that if he were given eight hours to chop down a tree, he would spend six hours sharpening his ax and two hours chopping down the tree. That is one of the true characteristics of a leader. We all should take time to sharpen our axes - by reading! Believe it or not, the average American reads just one book a year. What that means to you and me is that if we only read one book a month in our field, we will be twelve years ahead of the average person! The late Earl Nightingale, in his book, The Strangest Secret , said that if we read for two hours every day on any subject, in five years, we would become national experts on that particular subject. And in ten years, we would have the equivalent of a Ph.D! Reading quality books is the ultimate joy in life. It rekindles hope and takes a person to new heights. It rejuvenates and gives a boost to any person. We can no longer make excuses about not having time to read. Today we can even buy most books on...
