About "Oil-Less Economy - Is this the end or the begining??" topic:

No ways because the whole present infrastructure is using oil some where or the other .So according to me if there is a new innovation which can overcome the need of oil .We cannot have a oil less economy.

Oil is linked with lot of world economy. The rising price is due to appericaition in dollar index. Oil contracts are highly hedge. Switching to alternate source is likely. With big economies of world involved it wont be easy.

This 'hot topic' caught my sight and since it being a very contemporary issue, I wish to put forward my views. First of all we will have to accept the fact that the resources be it natural or man made will come to an end if consumed continuously. Due to advancement of technologies, declining mortality rates, changing life styles, never ending expectations of the people etc are some of the factors which has acceledrated the consumption of these resources. Now there are sevreal  questions - such as, What happens next?? Are there any alternatives?? How long it will take to find the new alternatives??? etc. etc. The answers to these questions to be found out by us only, the users of these resou...

No 1: India Since 1991, when economic liberalization unshackled India from the slow rate of growth and threw its doors open to the global economy, India has never looked back. Anna Hazare Ends Latest Fast The United Progressive Alliance government heaved a huge sigh of relief Sunday as Anna Hazare ended his  288-hour-long fast . Still, this may just be a lull before the next Hazare storm gathers. The 74-year-old anti-corruption crusader announced his roadmap for the near future, saying: ‘I have only suspended my agitation. I will not rest until all the changes that I look to are achieved.’ After ending his fast, which seemed most of the past week to be broadcast live virtually 24/7 by all TV channels, Hazare also made it clear that his struggle to rid the Indian system of corruption would continue. The Gandhian leader, who has become a  cult figure in India , immediately announced his next target: sweeping reforms to the election and education systems, and a campaign to improve the livelihoods of millions of farmers and labourers. He also gave a sneak preview of his ideas on electoral reform, saying his next campaign would be based around the idea of the...
