I think risk taking capability is higher in such organizations if in any case more than once you failed in bigger organization while taking risk then you are considered as damaged goods of that organiations.

I realized the other day that creating a new company for the first time is a lot like whipping up a great pasta salad for the first time – you need a recipe, even though it may look simple. You know the basic ingredients, and you can visualize the results you want. Yet you may not be so sure where to start, and how to put it all together. More... http://short.to/22fo5 .

What is stopping you from getting what you want in life? Your friends? Your family? A sense that failure – or success – might change your life and that feeling uncomfortable? A sense that the people around you might disapprove of you aiming for what you want, of you succeeding or failing. Essentially it boils down to fear. The big roadblock, sometimes the massive wall in the middle of road that keeps you from getting what you want. How to overcome it? Here´s some useful ways I have found so far. 1. Taking small steps This is good for fear that can seem overwhelming at first. For instance the strong feeling – it can almost feel like a flight or fight-response – just before doing public speaking or asking someone out for a date. "Ashok, a fresh computer graduate from a world- class University, goes for an interview in a Software company. The interviewer is Sunder, a grubby old man. And the first question he asks Ashok is, ‘Are you good at logic?’ ‘Of course,’ replies Ashok. ‘Let me test you,’ replies Sunder. ‘Two men come down a chimney. One comes with a clean face and the other comes out with a dirty face. Which one would wash his face?’ Ashok stares at Sunder. ‘Is that a test in Logic?’ Sunder nods. ‘The one with the dirty face washes his face’, Ashok answers wearily. ‘Wrong. The one with the clean face washes his face. Examine the simple logic. The one with the dirty face looks at the one with the clean face and thinks his face is clean. The one with the clean face looks at the one with the dirty face and thinks his face is dirty. So, the one with the clean face washes his face.’ ‘Hmm. I never thought of that," says Ashok. ‘Give me another test.’ Sunder holds up two fingers, ‘Two men come down a...

Social entrepreneurship in India is making greater strides towards inclusiveness by involving every strata of society to tap into the momentum and growth of the country. However, in spite of several initiatives, social entrepreneurship eco-system in India is not coming together as well as it needs to.  Their focus and collaboration on solutions should be directed towards not merely one-off acts of charity, but adding up to a vast array of sustainable services across sectors and industries that help people at the base of the pyramid, which is not happening in the country now.  In the post-independent era, many enterprising men with social bent of mind had ventured into setting up educational institutions, which helped the country to move out of the chaotic state into a vibrant and democratic environment. But over the decades, these established institutions which laid the foundation for modern India, because of their sheer size, were forced to evolve into large business enterprises...
