About "Performance by design using the .NET Framework" topic:

The.NET Framework offers developers a dizzying array of design choices for building applications, whether they are client or server-side applications. These choices can greatly impact the performance and scalability of an application. So what are the best practices in application architecture, testing, tools, and techniques for building responsive and highly scalable applications using the .NET Framework. More than just practical advice, and what are the proven techniques for building high quality applications. We shall discuss what measurement data is available from the CLR and the OS and will understand how to leverage this data to optimize your application’s performance. So do share your views on this.

Though you can apply multiple server controls in your web form, ASP.NET allows you to create new controls according to your requirements. The controls that you create are called ASP.NET User Controls. ASP.NET User Controls have .ascx extension. The biggest advantage of ASP.NET User Controls is that it allows you to save a part of the web form and reuse it many other web forms. This drastically reduces the developers’ time. ASP.NET User Controls are self-contained entities that are saved in an independent file. You can relate a user control with a “black box”. ASP.NET User Controls are very helpful when you want to use functionality on multiple pages of a web-application. For example, if you...

Serialization is the process of saving the state of an object in a persistent storage media by converting the object to a linear stream of bytes.  The object can be persisted to a file, a database or even in the memory.  The reverse process of serialization is known as de-serialization and enables us to re-construct the object from the previously serialized instance of the same in the persistent or non-persistent storage media.

Hi Friends,   Program Management is the process of managing multiple ongoing inter-dependent projects. Program management provides a layer above project management focusing on selecting the best group of programs, defining them in terms of their constituent projects and providing an infrastructure where projects can be run successfully but leaving project management to the project management community.   Key Factors need to consider while designing Program Management framework. Phases/Activities Initiate Program Due Diligence and map customer needs Create vision and mission of the Program Assist Project Managers in creating Project Charters Mobilisation of the program resources Identify num...

Hi All,  Spring.Net is an enterprise development framework. The design of Spring.NET is based on the Java version of the Spring Framework, which has shown real-world benefits and is used in thousands of enterprise applications world wide.  Spring .NET is not a quick port from the Java version, but rather a 'spiritual port' based on following proven  architectural and design patterns in that are not tied to a particular platform.  Spring.NET provides comprehensive infrastructural support for developing enterprise .NET applications.  It allows you to remove incidental complexity when using the base class libraries makes best practices, such as test driven development, easy practices.  Spring....

In today's news, I came across this article that scientists at Sandia National Labs who were seeking a means to create cheap and abundant hydrogen to power a hydrogen economy, realized they could use the same technology to "reverse-combust" CO2 back into fuel. They still have to improve the efficiency of the system, but they recently demonstrated a working prototype of their "Sunshine to Petrol" converting waste CO2 to carbon monoxide, and then syngas, consuming nothing but solar energy. The device, boasting the simple title Counter-Rotating-Ring Receiver Reactor Recuperator (CR5) sets off a thermo-chemical reaction by exposing an iron-rich composite to concentrated solar heat. The composite sheds an oxygen molecule when heated and gets one back as it cools, and therein lies the fuel. The cylindrical metal CR5 is divided into hot and cold chambers. Solar energy heats the hot chamber to a scorching 2,700 degrees, which forces the iron oxide composite to lose oxygen atoms. The...
