I believe - That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I believe - That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and, you must forgive them for that. I believe - That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I believe - That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I believe - That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I believe - That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I believe - That you can keep going long after you can't. I believe - That we are responsi...

You are about to read about one of the most effective self-improvement tools ever discovered. This one technique can do more for your mental strength, job performance and overall competence than dozens of self-help books or motivational seminars. This simple formula eliminates self-criticism, fear and stress. It is applicable to any situation and works every time. You can use it repeatedly without limitation. L. Ron Hubbard discovered the KRC Triangle in 1960. 'THE K-R-C TRIANGLE' 'The points are K for KNOWLEDGE, R for RESPONSIBILITY and C for CONTROL.' 'It is difficult to be responsible for something or control something unless you have KNOWLEDGE of it.' 'It is folly to try to control some...

Very well presented. Thank you very much. This triangle, L Ron Hubbard's discovery is good. Ancient Indian thought has this, perhaps in a more perfect form. The divine concept of trinity is related to creation, protection and destruction....

What is Personality? Almost everyday we describe and assess the personalities of the people around us. Whether we realize it or not, these daily musings on how and why people behave as they do are similar to what personality psychologists do. While our informal assessments of personality tend to focus more on individuals, personality psychologists instead use conceptions of personality that can apply to everyone. Personality research has led to the development of a number of theories that help explain how and why certain personality traits develop. Components of Personality While there are many different theories of personality, the first step is to understand exactly what is meant by ...

I am a child of God - created in His image. God loves me more than I can ever imagine. No problem in my life is too big for me to solve, with God's help. Each new day offers fresh opportunities for growth and success. I believe in myself and in my God given abilities - no matter what others may think. I don't have to please others - I can set my own standards. I don't have to be perfect - I'm okay just the way I am. If I live my life to please God, I can be happy with my efforts. Whatever I achieve, it matters more that I did my best. My value as a person is much greater than the sum of my accomplishments. The gifts God has given me are meant to be shared. Darkness is afraid of the light; w...

One thing that most of us have in common is that we all want to succeed. In fact, it can be said that the only thing that separates successful people from those who don't succeed is that the successful people are more determined to succeed than the rest. There are a number of traits that successful people share. If you wish to become successful, you will want to incorporate these traits within your person strategy for success. However, before talking more about these traits, first let us learn about strategy. Many uninformed individuals are under the impression that strategy and tactics are the same things. However, they are not. Strategy is much higher than mere tactics, and from a battle...

In today's world of fast food, fast cars, and instant gratification, people expect to be in touch at all times. We have become conditioned to staying in touch with businesses, friends, and families. Because of this desire for instant data, we have the Internet, cell phones, Wi-Fi, MP3 players, and DVD players. As the equipment needed to drive this thirst has become smaller and smaller, we find ourselves looking for portable replacements for our bulky desktop computers. This article guides you into the exciting world of Windows mobile development so you can take advantage of an expanding opportunity to supply software to this burgeoning market. Getting Started There are currently two choices for producing mobile software using a Windows operating system: ActiveSync on XP, and—for Vista—a new interface built upon ActiveSync technology, called the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC). In the recent CoDe Focus issue on Mobile PC Development (2007, Volume 4, Issue 2), Nick Landry's...

Industrial production shrinks by 2% as compared to the previous years 8% despite a stimulus package announced by the government to boost sagging demand. The manufacturing sector, which has a weight of about 80 per cent in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), registered negative growth of 2.5 per cent against a rise of 8.6 per cent in December 2007. The production of consumer durables and consumer non-durables as well as intermediate items declined. Consumer durables production fell as much as 12.8 per cent. For the first nine months of the current fiscal, industrial growth stood at 3.2 per cent against 9 per cent a year ago. The official advance estimates released earlier this week pegged industrial growth at 4.8 per cent for the current fiscal.

One young academically excellent person went for an interview for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the first interview; BUT in that Company, the director did the last interview, made the last decision. The director discovered from the CV, that the youth's academic result was excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never was there a year he did not score. The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarship in school?" and the youth answered "no". The director asked, " Did your father pay your school fees?". The youth answered, "my father passed away when I was one year old and it was my mother who paid my school fees". The director asked, " Where did your mother work?" the youth answered, "my mother worked as cloth cleaner." The director requested the youth to show his hands and the youth showed a pair of hands that was smooth and perfect to the director. The director asked, " Did you ever help your mother wash clothes...

Keys to Team Building Success by Susan M. Heathfield Want to make your next team building activity or team building exercise live up to its true potential? Integrate the team building with real-time work goals. Establish a systematic workplace integration and follow-up process - before you go on the team building adventure. You need to make the good feelings and the outcomes from the team building activity last beyond the final team building exercise. Impact of Team Building Events Without this attention to integration, corporate team building or planning events are, at best, a short term boost to employee enthusiasm and positive morale. If they are planned and executed well, people feel good about themselves and about each other. Employees get to know each other better and have a common experience to talk about back at work. A frequent expectation from team building activities is that they build trust. Team building events have little to do with building trust, however, unless...

THIS IS LONG - THIS IS ALSO A MUST READ !! Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Late Lakshman Kadirgamar's after-dinner speech OFF THE CUFF , in the UK, at which Sri Lankan Cricketers were present. How many ministers can make a similar speech today? This was at an earlier World Cup time. "Captain Atapattu and members of the Sri Lankan team, Members of the Sri Lankan community, Friends of Sri Lanka, Ladies and Gentlemen, Some historians say, I think uncharitably, that cricket is really a diabolical political strategy, disguised as a game, in fact a substitute for War, invented by the ingenious British to confuse the natives by encouraging them to fight each other instead of their imperial rulers. The world is divided into two camps - those who revel in the intricacies of cricket and those who are totally baffled by it, who cannot figure out why a group of energetic young men should spend days, often in the hot sun or bitter cold, chasing a ball across an open field, hitting it from time...
