Today schooling in India is like bieng in Pressure cooker or even Pressure fryer.
The Syllabus and contents are miles away from the teachers knowledge of the very syllabus they are supposed to teach.
Result
Children do not know what they are studying
Children do not know why they are studing a particular matter
Children do not understand because teachers do not know the subject themselves
Teachers want to just brush off the subject with minimun exposure before childdren start asking questions
Intimidation to stave away questions
Insufficient depth of explanation to childrens level of understanding
Heavily loaded syllabus
Insufficient practical exposure to studies
Insufficient time
Is nthis all necessary? In other countries children are never loaded like this and they turn out to be more analytical in their college days and compete well
Any takers?

Hey good debate , but it is difficult to take a side. Because both are mutually important and you need to have a theoretical knowledge in order to implement some practical things. So in education theoretical knowledge should be given till 10th...

What is stopping you from getting what you want in life? Your friends? Your family? A sense that failure – or success – might change your life and that feeling uncomfortable? A sense that the people around you might disapprove of you aiming for what you want, of you succeeding or failing. Essentially it boils down to fear. The big roadblock, sometimes the massive wall in the middle of road that keeps you from getting what you want. How to overcome it? Here´s some useful ways I have found so far. 1. Taking small steps This is good for fear that can seem overwhelming at first. For instance the strong feeling – it can almost feel like a flight or fight-response – just before doing public speaking or asking someone out for a date. If you´re for instance nervous socially you might not feel able to ask people out on dates right away. The fear of being rejected and that others might think less of you if you get turned down can make many of us feel unable to ask the question. A solution...

“We are travelers of the path of blooming consciousness. Staying in between beginning and the end of the path, acquiring knowledge of the whole path and the ultimate truth is impossible. Even though, one is able to reach the end –isn’t able to make known us about the whole and the ultimate truth. First time, we go forward– towards any imaginary target, on the path of life, holding different beliefs. Gradually in this way– with increasing experience and knowledge, when we become more conscious, we advance following the way of science and rationality, –supposing all are seeming truth, giving up beliefs –largely, towards the aim of true self-development. In this manner, after passing over much more distance, –with increasing more consciousness, gradually step by step– one time we come near the truth. Then holding the hand of some truths or partly truth, –we advance to the aim of absolute truth. In fact, the entire route is the way of blooming consciousness. We– in our different...

Beautiful Thought by Lord Buddha Once Buddha was traveling with a few of his followers. While they were passing a lake, Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. Do get me some water from the lake." The disciple walked up to the lake. At that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake. As a result, the water became very muddy and turbid. The disciple thought, "How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink?" So he came back and told Buddha, "The water in there is very muddy. I don't think it is fit to drink." After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back to the lake. The disciple went back, and found that the water was still muddy. He returned and informed Buddha about the same. After sometime, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back. This time, the disciple found the mud had settled down, and the water was clean and clear. So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to Buddha. Buddha looked at the water, and...

An old man, staying in a small south Indian town came to visit his son in Bombay recently. The son in his early thirties is a successful businessman living with his wife and son. The father, having spent most of his life at his birthplace, hardly understands a splatter of Hindi or English, forget Marathi. But he doesn't care. 'I have come here to spend a few days with my son and his family. I don't have to go out and socialize with the city people,' he said. But the son is very excited about his father's rare visit to Bombay. He wants to make the best of it. He and his wife want to show him around the city. And yes, the son enjoys those evening hours too, when he and his father go out and sit in a good bar, sipping their favorite drink. Last week he was in a very good mood. 'Let's go to a five star hotel's bar tonight,' he told his father. It was a beautiful evening. Talking about everything under the sun they had a few drinks. As usual they were offered some salad, peanuts,...

HAVE. No FEAR. If you were afraid of nothing, what goals would you set? What could you accomplish? What would you do if nothing scared you or made you nervous? Fear stops success. For example, a woman who wants to get married, but she is afraid of men. So she does not get married. Or she marries someone who is wrong for her, just because he does not scare her. If you want to run a business, you will fail if you are afraid of making big decisions. If you want to be a doctor, you cannot be afraid of sick people. If you want to succeed as an athlete, you cannot be afraid of hard, painful practice. Fear of anything can ruin your success: fear of rejection, fear of being excluded, fear of anger, fear of paperwork, fear of speaking to groups, fear of stating the truth, fear of asking for money, fear of responsibility, fear of being attacked, fear of looking stupid, fear of pain, fear of displeasing someone and more. With no fear in your life, what could you accomplish? The Only Way to...
