Most CRM programs what I have seen are comprised of two parts: • Processes for building relationships with customers that spell out behaviors and sequences for those activities • Software for creating customer data bases and reporting progress in the sales/relationship building process with each account. CRM has become a nice way of referring to cross-selling. There are several flaws in the logic behind most CRM programs I have seen: Building a relationship requires a systematic process and management system CRM software provides the data needed to improve your ability to build relationships with customers It will be easy for the salespeople to use the CRM software and they will love it whe...

I agree with Mr. Praveen. The best way to know the success of a project is to do its SWOT analysis

For large/long duration projects a project score-card with mid-term reviews helps keep the target in sight, milestones in vision, scope cost under control.

Planning nitty-gritty processes is a need to tame Inflation. Suppose if one go to an Office to get some work done, if the person is forced to go back many time to make his task achieved instead of just ones and in short time, huge bills get run in the form of transportation, fuel, food etc;. These are not optimal consumption pattern rather wasted consumption, for a function that can be achieved in a short while taking long time to complete. These extra consumption require unnecessary infrastructure and resources like extra manpower, extra road and transportation facilities. The extra manpower again creates suboptimal consumption where demand for goods and services gets inflated leading to price hikes and inflation. Suppose only optimal consumption through mandated performances in short while can nullify the extraconsumption component in an economy and can lead to optimal consumption and no inflation since wasted consumption and over demand for this is avoided. Take for example, in...

CES 2012: The top 7 phones at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show By Barb Dybwad, Tecca | Today in Tech  – It's all about Windows Phone and Android at this year's event Whereas last year's Consumer Electronics Show was all about Android , the surprise mindshare leader at CES 2012 is Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating system. After completely reinventing the artist formerly known as Windows Mobile in late 2010, the company fleshed out and polished up the OS with the current Windows Phone 7.5 iteration. Thanks to a $1 billion partnership with Finnish giant Nokia early last year, as well as strong continued partnerships with handset makers HTC Samsung, the Windows Phone ecosystem is set to finally come into its own in 2012. Despite not dominating the show floor to the extent it did last year, Google's Android mobile operating system nevertheless managed a strong showing at CES 2012. Motorola announced a brace of powerful smartphones with the Droid Razr Maxx and the Droid 4...

Steve Yegge originally shared this post: Stevey's Google Platforms Rant I was at Amazon for about six and a half years, and now I've been at Google for that long. One thing that struck me immediately about the two companies -- an impression that has been reinforced almost daily -- is that Amazon does everything wrong, and Google does everything right. Sure, it's a sweeping generalization, but a surprisingly accurate one. It's pretty crazy. There are probably a hundred or even two hundred different ways you can compare the two companies, and Google is superior in all but three of them, if I recall correctly. I actually did a spreadsheet at one point but Legal wouldn't let me show it to anyone, even though recruiting loved it. I mean, just to give you a very brief taste: Amazon's recruiting process is fundamentally flawed by having teams hire for themselves, so their hiring bar is incredibly inconsistent across teams, despite various efforts they've made to level it out. And their...

Hi Friends, I am sharing with the reviews of IBM on work culture, growth prospects salary, done by their employees. Please share your views. A Project Manager wrote: What I like about IBM: "IBM offers a very flexible working environment. In most cases, no one will ask you what time you come or go from office. Neither the logs of the swipe card will be analyzed to take some action against you in normal circumstances. In special circumstances, the company can even allow you to work from home. No blocking of internet or phones . All in all, you are "not" working in a jail. It has a wealth of knowledge..... " What I don't like about IBM: "Sometimes you feel that there are too many processes to follow. The company is so huge that it is a challenge to make people aware of existing processes. I have often seen it happening that sometimes small groups within IBM try to develop their own processes, often unaware that such a best practice already exists and can be leveraged. Ofcourses, Lou...
