About "Regional media growing faster than English?" topic:
Private equity firms, has been bullish on the growth of the non-English print media in India. A firm like Blackstone is unable to buy stakes in the Telugu newspaper. They have now announced their plan to invest $50 million (Rs 225 crore) in the holding company of the Hindi daily, Dainik Jagran’s publisher.

This is some news where regional media is growing at a much faster rate than English, Though English channels dominate interms of television, but Regional media are giving a strong competition and are taking a major chunk of the audience. I mean what could be the reasons behind this??

Absolutely...this the the search for newer markets that led to the development of Regional media. And of course this was supported by the individuality of the people of that market. Its abvious that mother tongue will always attract better...

In our mother language only easily information get in to the mind even if we not watch the visual. even though very expert in other language mind will not get alert easily.

I have always wondered who is the "adhinayak" and "bharat bhagya vidhata", whose praise we are singing. I thought might be Motherland India! Our current National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is sung throughout the country. Did you know the following about our national anthem, I didn't. To begin with, India's national anthem, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honour of King George V and the Queen of England when they visited India in 1919.
