About "Security Threats of the Future" topic:

Security threats are growing in size, scope and sophistication. Spam, phishing, unlawful entry, espionage, identity theft, financial theft, extortion, and denial of service top the list of cyber crimes that are common today and will be common tomorrow. But in the future, the mechanisms used to carry out such attacks will move away from being primarily PC-centric and will expand into other technologies. Today, the majority of cyber criminals target PC users, but we can expect more attackers to branch out to other areas of technology during the coming years as those technologies become more widely adopted.

Let us discuss here potential Security Threats of Future...

Security is a huge part of the job for most IT administrators. We’re always striving to protect our organizations from the latest barrage of viruses, worms, and other malware. With 2009 over, what types of threats could we face in the year ahead? The recent 2010 Threat Predictions report from McAfee ( News - Alert ) pegs a few different areas to watch out for in 2010.     Social networks will be one key breeding ground for cyber attacks, says McAfee. As sites like Twitter and Facebook ( News - Alert ) continue to grow in popularity, especially among the business crowd, cyber crooks will increasingly employ their usual bag of tricks to try to ensnare users.   A site like Facebook can be espe...

In this article I will not be focusing neither I will discuss the common reasons of gold prices climbing high. The falling dollar, rising inflation neither central banks buying/selling of gold. In this article I have tried to bring out the invisible forms of future gold demand and price. Gold is now a dream for the Indian marriage occasion. Gold prices have moved up from Rs 11,785 per 10g to Rs 17000 in a year giving 44% annualized return. The recent news that RBI purchased 200 tonnes of IMF gold for $6.7 billion spooked the prices to 17000 levels.IMF gold sales was in order as per the agreements between the Asian countries. Their is some more reasons for this yellow color metal to shine. PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW. http://ianalysis.blogspot.com/2009/11/future-of-gold.html

Hackers are at it in full swing. There next stop was Apple.. AntiSec hackers group stole 26 user names and passwords .. The hackers announced the attack on pastebin, a file-sharing website, where they also posted a link to a server used by Apple to process survey data, together with username and password information for the server's 26 administrative personnel. AntiSec, made up of hackers from the well-known group Anonymous and from the now defunct Lulz Security, seeks to attack governments and large corporations in defense of "freedom and progress", members said. On its Twitter account, @AnonymousIRC, the group published a link to the pastebin website with the list of usernames and passwords, though they said that with this attack they were "not being so serious" and that the computer giant isn't its main target.   In midst of such security breaches where do we stand. How is our data secure and how can this harm us?? Huge question isn't it??

Indian retailing industry has seen phenomenal growth in the last five years (2001-2006). Organized retailing has finally emerged from the shadows of unorganized retailing and is contributing significantly to the growth of Indian retail sector. Also India has topped the AT Kearney’s annual Global Retail Development Index (GRDI) for the third consecutive year, maintaining its position as the most attractive market for retail investment. Critical Highlights of Indian Retail Sector: Organized retail will form 10% of total retailing by the end of this decade (2010). From 2006 to 2010, the organized sector will grow at the CAGR of around 49.53% per annum. Cultural and regional differences in India are the biggest challenges in front of retailers. This factor deters the retailers in India from adopting a single retail format. Hypermarket is emerging as the most favorable format for the time being in India. The arrival of multinationals will further push the growth of hypermarket format,...

Written by Nisan Gabbay Facebook was launched in February 2004 by Harvard undergrad students as an alternative to the traditional student directory. Its popularity quickly spread to other colleges in the US by word of mouth, and the site now registers close to 15M monthly UVs and over 6B page views per month. Facebook has completed two rounds of venture financing at very high valuations, the first at a valuation of ~$100M and the second at ~$550M (valuations are unconfirmed). These valuations were driven by the multiple acquisition offers that Facebook has reportedly turned down (the latest was a rumored $750M offer). Facebook is already generating significant revenue, so despite all the valuation and web traffic metric hype, it has also established a very real business. Interviews conducted: Noah Kagan, early product manager for Facebook. Noah will soon release an e-book on Facebook, with good insight on the social networking space. You will be able to download the book at Noah s...
