The year 2001 is a good one for digital film makers. the ban on Hindi cinema by some armed groups hit the cinema theatres severely. Entertainment was almost dying from the people's life. And theatre halls have been converted to schools and shopping malls. Luckily some brave soul started the music album and it was a huge success. Later they started making digital cinema , investment around rs 1 lak- 3 lakhs. Now 200 films are produced annually with an investment of Rs 5-10 lakhs per film and the shooting have went on offshore in thailand, Singapore etc. Experiemnetal cinema like animation, sc-fiction are also started. Yes, digital film making has boosted the film industry. It has brought in many changes and improved the quality also.. This is a nice note from Manipur..A small story teaching big lessons.
