In every sector mergers are taking place and among them the topmost is telecom sector.   Though there has been disputes between the large national and regional telecom service providers, rural operators such as CenturyTel and Commonwealth Telephone  could be ready to do some deals with smaller outfits. I also believe the next wave of consolidation is likely to be focused more on the smaller rural properties and see the large independent rural providers such as CenturyTel as being among the acquirers  The Lucent merger :  Lucent has limited growth prospects, and those already are figured into the stock price .'We would not be adding positions based on limited upside potential,' the analysts ...

Hi All, Came across a nice artical, thought beneficial for all HR professionals : What else does it take to K.E.E.P your employees satisfied? "People work for much more than a paycheck." Most employees are looking for common elements from the people they work for . People, regardless of position, seek a good " Relationship with their manager ", " A positive work environment ", and " Praise and recognition ". Successfully combine these three elements and implement them effectively and you have created the foundation for a great retention strategy. It is obvious that these crucial elements have little or nothing to do with compensation. Instead they remind us an important fact: People work for much more than a paycheck. By Lori Bongiorno How much radiation does your cell phone emit? It's easy to find out the answer thanks to the Environmental Working Group's new online guide to cell phone emissions . The non-profit research and advocacy group ranked over 1,000 different cell phones according to radiation levels. The jury is still out on whether cell phone radiation is harmful to human health , but it certainly won't hurt to limit your exposure to cell phone radiation when you can. Several research teams from different countries report a higher risk of developing brain and salivary gland cancer among high-volume, long-term cell phone users compared to people who use cell phones less often, according to EWG. For example, a...
