The problem with India is, we never learn from our mistakes. We always do the same mistakes we did the last time which gives courage to the terrorists. On that, our corrupted politicians and many of our internal terror helps is also our weakness,...

Instead of mourning and mere candle job it would have made sense for 10000 mumbaikars to contribute 10/- per month for the family of deceased like Tukaram whose family does not have proper financial support. The govt. is noway bothered for small fish.

Why is our media not exploring the possibility that Headley might be the agent provocateur sent by the US agencies or at least the possibility that the US agencies might have connived at Headley's actions in India leading to 26/11? After all,...

Ajay Chaudhari  |  Argues in support of  "It was a street smart decision"  |  3 years ago
Why are we so very hypocritical? If the same game depicted an incident abroad we would have called it 'street smart' or at worst ignored it. Just because it reflects an incident closer to the heart, how can we call it disrespect. In both cases...

I think it was a street smart decision and I will tell you the reason why, I mean there were many people who were really angry about these acts and were venting in frustration and were not able to do anything but watch the horror on TV, but with...

India and China have agreed to defer signing an agreement for joint research on Himalayan glaciers till October end, Jairam Ramesh, minister of state (independent charge) for environment and forests, said here on the last day of his three-day visit to Beijing on Wednesday. India is worried about signs of faster melting of glaciers, which feeds major rivers like the Brahmaputra, due to global warming. China is anxious about the massive drought situation in the Tibetan region this year. Ramesh said a comprehensive accord will be drawn up after another round of talks when a Chinese delegation of environment scientists and officials visit New Delhi in October end. It is not clear if the postpon...

Meeting with H N Srinivas – Senior Executive Vice President, Taj Group of Hotels   Last evening, I had a dinner meeting with HNS in Goa (I was there for a National Institute of Personnel Management conference – as a speaker). He narrated the 26 th November 2008 terror attack on Taj Mumbai and there were some important points. A.   Terrorist entry       1.        They entered from the Leopold Colaba hotel entrance and also from the northern entrance – spraying indiscriminate bullets on the Taj security personnel and guests in general.     2.        Though Taj had a reasonable security – they were surely not equipped to deal with terrorists who were spraying 6 bullets per trigger.     3.     ...
