About "The Indian Economy- Sighing or Breathing?" topic:

Mr.Yash, appreciate the question- Who is more capable of increasing the Indian Economy? Successful Businessman or Successful Celebrity?

For India’s economic growth, the contribution is definitely the large populous with its vast requirements and their discontentment, the "soft infrastructure," investment in large, long-gestating, capital-intensive projects, such as electric power, irrigation, and infrastructure. However, delayed completions, cost overruns, and under-use of capacity and currently agony over delayed monsoon just might add the rates of Farmer’s suicides.

To this list do you still want to make a hype of India’s growth?

Actually I DO NOT SUPPORT either of the above. Both Businessmen & Celebrities, after becoming successful, do ONE common thing, i.e. increase the gap between the common man and the rich man. I firmly believe that Indian Economy can only be...

Infact, am not supporting both. Only the consumers in India and overseas can help the Indian economy to grow.

Business leaders in India have rounded on the government, urging a halt to interest rate rises, amid fears that inflation and lack of institutional reform could hit investment and cut economic growth. The Reserve Bank of India hiked rates by a quarter of a percentage point this week -- the 10th rise in 16 months and longest streak of monetary tightening in a decade -- to battle inflation of more than nine percent. 'The latest rate hike may not achieve the desired results unless the government comes up with basic reform,' Rajiv Kumar, secretary-general of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said on Friday. The president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Indus...

I ndia's impressive economic growth has not led to a reduction in under-nutrition among its children, according to a Harvard study that said the government should use its growing revenues for direct investments in aid like food stamps to address the problem. The Harvard School of Public Health study analysed malnutrition across various regions in India. It said under-nutrition was worst in poor and populous states like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. It was less common in north-eastern states like Mizoram and Manipur, and also in Kerala.

Politics and government are treated as words with negative connotations in the Indian society. Interestingly, the same is not true for many countries in other parts of the world. In a first of its kind initiative, the Research Foundation for Governance in India (RFGI) has taken up the task of educating the young minds of Ahmedabad about how the political systems across the world work. Curtis Riep, a graduate in international relations from University of Calgary, Canada; Ramiro Gomes Monteiro, political sciences and history student at Utrecht University, Netherlands; Catherine See, student of international relations at the National University of Malaysia; Katie Farrer, bachelor of law and political science at University of Otago, New Zealand; Joshua Stark, student of international development from McGill University, Canada; along with Swar Shah, Apoorv Shah and Kanan Dhru of the RFGI team have been visiting different schools and colleges in the city. They interact with youths about...

We have talked a lot about cricket and not many want to encourage discussions regarding cricket anymore.  Then came the doping scandal of athletes. Now we have a good news.. Indian swimmers Virdhawal Khade and Sandeep Sejwal created quite a splash at the seventh Singapore Open Championships, sharing four gold, a silver and three bronze medals among themselves. While Khade bagged two gold and three bronze medals, Sandeep brought home two gold and a silver. Khade was in top form at the meet as he won the gold in the 50m and 100m Freestyle events with times of 23.21 and 51.08 seconds respectively.
