Respected Sir, My project involves the application of Soft computing techniques to power system optimization problems.However,I am faced with the problem of high execution time required by the MATLAB based EAs that I use. How do we go about reducing the execution time for OPF using metaheuristic techniques. I have been using MATLAB based Evolutionary Algorithms(EA) to solve the OPF problem.Since the OPF problem involves running the Load Flow analysis,it is somewhat computation intensive.(Mine takes around 0.05 sec per run.Of course the execution time varies depending on the no. of buses).On top of that the EA operations require some time to execute.Hence it takes a lot of time to get the op...
