About "Today's Media - Balancing Controversies & News..." topic:

As and when the news was leaked about the Sania Mirza marrying Shoaib Malik ex-captain of Pakistan cricket team there was a harakiri of sorts in India and the media coverage for this news was given as if there was an ongoing tension between India & Pakistan, where from NDTV's Barkha Dutt went on to air a show just on this issue and all the other channels followed, and were asking all sorts of stupid questions, whom will you support when an India-Pakistan match is going on and then asking some personal questions like when did you both start to see each other.

I mean there has to be a line drawn what Media really want to show people in terms of news, when there are so many problems much bigger than Sania-Shoaib marriage this news bit is given way too much of importance and are just into grabbing eyeballs than covering news.

And with Shoaib in the prior controversy of a marriage to a Indian girl from Hyderabad through online has given media all the more ingredients to dish out many things on useless issues.

Prashant Singhdeo  |  Argues in support of  "No"  |  3 years ago
Most of the viewers want the colourful news thats why there are serving what is in demand. People cry for actual news however they don't switch to DD News. It is all about viewers choice.

KYA KARE... 24 X 7 X 365 ... COMMITT JO KIYA HAI ! Think of those days when News Channels were not there... we all used to wait for the Prime Time News very eagerly. It had Honesty, Reality Information... Today, its is the dire need to survive...

No! i think. If it was so easy every diplomat from India would be marrying Pakistani gals. And vice versa.. No one knows their both's intention regarding the marriage, But let us hope good for them.
Parul Agarwal  |  Argues in support of  "No"  |  3 years ago
I dont think just one marriage can do any good to the relations two countries share.Marriage is a personal affair and it should not be politicized just because of their professions. As such they intend to stay in a neutral country. The biggest...

1 Be neutral

SHRIKANT MANOHAR DANKE  |  Supported idea  "Be neutral "  |  2 years ago
To be neutral is their responsibility, but currently every newspaper is expressing views/agenda of political parties from which they get advertisements & other fringe benefits.
Neha Jangid  |  Added idea  "be honest & truthful"  |  3 years ago
well, adding spice to news is fine but selling gossips as news is a big disappointment as media is a powerful industry....who does sania mirza marry is the current hotshot news in India.....oh cmon... there is so much happening ....
Abraham Paul  |  Supported idea  "Be neutral "  |  4 years ago
Look at Mr. Singh the shoe thrower. As a journalist he should have acted nuetral when participating in the press conference, instead of taking on the Minister his anger as any other sikh; wounded in heart due to misdoings of few miscreatnts a...

Indias' new missiles  will be named after Ayeesha Sania as they can bring down pakistani missles before they fly high., ( we could not name earlier missles after Zeenat aman, Reena Roy and others. )
Himanshu Pathak  |  Argues in support of  "Ayesha Siddiqui"  |  3 years ago

1 Rise flags when they do mistakes
2 Neglect Media
By : Sri Krishna
Dr.Narendra Bahadur Singh  |  Added idea  "Ignore media"  |  2 years ago
if we want to make media responsible need not neglect it or rise flags when they do mistakes.only we decide to ignore that and hope all the society do as.
NATTERAJA R. ARIKRISHNAN  |  Supported idea  "Rise flags when they do mistakes "  |  2 years ago
Thanks for the referral Ms.Disha Roy. we have to raise our voices protest against their mistakes in giving false information.
Karunik Zutshi  |  Supported idea  "Rise flags when they do mistakes "  |  2 years ago
Although rising a flag may look like an easy solution on paper, I think it will be tougher to implement. There is a definite market for these so called 'hot breaking' news channels and newspapers and they are catering to it. For every one person...

CD Controversy Gets Ugly The Shanti Bhushan CD controversy is dominating the Indian political scene these days—and getting ugly. Bhushan is a former law minister who’s a close associate of prominent social activist Anna Hazare and presently the co-chairperson of the Lokpal Bill draft panel. The audio CD in question reportedly contains recorded conversations between Bhushan, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh. And one conversation allegedly has Bhushan talking to Yadav and Amar Singh about ‘fixing’ a judge for almost $1 million. A mercurial politician, Amar Singh has reacted rather surprisingly and dramatically to his implication in the all...

Rohit Thakur  |  Commented  |  2 years ago
If a leader can book a judge for 1 million dollar than I am sure it will be more easier for them to temper the report easily with 100k dolars. anyways joke apart, but its really a very bad time for indian politics.
