Hello!! Friends I want to share this article regarding the strategies which are followed by manufacturers for Ultra Low Cost Cars, what are the strategies which doesn't work for the ULCC. Some manufacturers, for example, introduce older models into the market to take advantage of their fully paid-up base of equipment and tools. The Buick Regal was among the first entrants in China. While this approach provides rapid entry into a new market, it does so at a cost: The cars often do not meet specific customer needs and are at a competitive disadvantage in relation to locally tailored products. Other car manufacturers streamline existing models to fit low-cost prerequisites or redesign select p...

Hello!! Friends, It’s the hottest of hot topics – but it’s open to the widest of interpretations. What, exactly, is a low-cost car? The Dacia Logan, Fiat Palio, Tata Nano, Maruti 800, Lada Zhiguli? Or even a five-year-old VW Golf? The answer is all of them. Low-cost cars are the agents of growth in the global car market. German Tier 1 supplier Bosch estimates low-cost vehicles priced below EUR 7, 000 could reach a 13% share of the world market – or about 10million vehicles – by 2010, and consultants Roland Berger estimate annual global production of 18million sub-EUR10,000 cars by 2012. The reasons are clear, as the developed world stagnates in terms of car sales, emerging markets are drivi...

Housing in India varies greatly and reflects the socio-economic mix of its vast population. There are certain unique characteristics of Indian culture which drives its housing set-up. The most common structure is for the extended family (usually referred to as joint family) to live in the same house. For instance grandparents, their sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren live in the same household sharing the same kitchen. Brothers, sisters and cousins grow up together. Each husband-wife combination has their own bedroom. The eldest woman in the house sets the menu and leads the cooking. Women live with their in-laws after marriage. With modernisation there is a small but growing section of nuclear families in urban areas. It is still extremely rare for senior citizens to live alone. Conservative Indian society frowns upon young couples living together before marriage. Some single young adults live in same-sex dormitories during college or in shared accommodation during the early...

I was unaware of high corruption level in bangalore. It was till my collegues bike was lost and he went to the Police station to complain. And there it was, his bike was lying right there in the police station.. The Policemen told him to pay 10,000 or he would not get his bike back.. He was terrified but he told he will complain to higher authorities and the policemen laughed.. They said just one thing.. "Right now it is 10,00.. go to the higher authorities and the price will rise higher!!".. Shocked and surprised he went to the atm and brought the money and got his bike back.. Is this the situatuion everywhere?? I told my friend that too is responsible for this corruption.. To this he said, Don't think that you can fight these people who are backed up by even more powerful policticiains, or you might end up in terrible situations!!
