Its totaly depent on the structures requirement. The best way is to use Bonding agent during the concreting and sutable waterbars can be used. Bentonite based waterbar are among the best as it swells in contact on water.

The real problem is not only rain water improvement , but also rain water draining.As we can see all major cities getting water logged even with 4-5 hrs continuous rain. Both require same solution.That's rain water harevesting
