Water plays a vital role in our life. Water is also part of the larger ecosystem on which bio diversity depends. Literally we can not dream of life without water. Water is regarded as one of the important source of our existence. Groundwater is the major source of drinking water in both urban and rural India. It is also an important source of water for the agricultural and the industrial sectors. 82% water available goes to irrigation and agricultural purposes, and only 18% of water is being used for domestic and industrial requirements as well. India is the world’s second largest country in terms of population after China as on date and is expected to cross China by 2050. As such the de...

Its an age-old phenomenon. We are paying for everything, barring air! One day we will be forced to pay for so much cusecs of air we have inhaled, and tax for exhalation of carbon-dioxide - polluting the atmosphere!

In today's news, I came across this article that scientists at Sandia National Labs who were seeking a means to create cheap and abundant hydrogen to power a hydrogen economy, realized they could use the same technology to "reverse-combust" CO2 back into fuel. They still have to improve the efficiency of the system, but they recently demonstrated a working prototype of their "Sunshine to Petrol" converting waste CO2 to carbon monoxide, and then syngas, consuming nothing but solar energy. The device, boasting the simple title Counter-Rotating-Ring Receiver Reactor Recuperator (CR5) sets off a thermo-chemical reaction by exposing an iron-rich composite to concentrated solar heat. The composite sheds an oxygen molecule when heated and gets one back as it cools, and therein lies the fuel. The cylindrical metal CR5 is divided into hot and cold chambers. Solar energy heats the hot chamber to a scorching 2,700 degrees, which forces the iron oxide composite to lose oxygen atoms. The...

This is what True Love is all about: It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 a.m., when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him look at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer' s...

After two cardic arrests now Dawood is looking for a burial spot in Mumbai. He is one of the most wanted men in India. It is the power he has which has kept him away from getting caught. Though police says they are strictly following his movements still they are yet not arresting him anyways. How funny is the fact that newspaper jounalists know that his men and he are finding a spo for his burial but do not give away his whereabouts and even when police knows the same nothing ever happens. He is famous for hiding out of India. Crime branch has spent millions in keeping a track of him but still have never been able to catch him. Though he is responsible for 1993 serial blasts in mumbai he is still free. Even while he helds lavish weddings for his daughters and everyone knows about the location no one wants to risk his life by going against him. Crime branch chief said that there are other gangsters who want to return to their native land but they are afraid of the consequences but...
