About "Web 3.0, User Experience and Intelligent User Interfaces" topic:

Web 1.0 was about publishing and (finding and communicating) with users. It was about HTML and server side computing. Web 2.0 is about collaboration and social Web applications. Mobile and cell phone have mostly remained as separate networks, and it is about the client side technologies like Ajax and JavaScript which have become popular to create new UI models for users. And then came Web 3.0 which was all about platform as a service enabling killer apps, which has 3D, video and broadband, virtual networks, and mobile Web into a seamless Web. Web 3.0 is about creating semantic linkages between Web pages and information, so share your thoughts on Web 3.0 and user experience and intelligent user interfaces.

1 Semantic Web
2 Ubiquitous

I feel that the whole "ubiquitous" thing people are trying to get happening will be web3.0. Cell phone apps and mobile pcs with people interacting with each other and bringing online collaboration to the physical world too.

My take - Next "phase" of the internet would be the widespread adaptation of the semantic web with the sharing of user data between different sites.

The Semantic Web (or Web 3.0) promises to “organize the world’s information” in a dramatically more logical way than Google can ever achieve with their current engine design. This is specially true f...

Definition of Web 3.0: Web 1.0 consisted of simple static pages. Web 2.0 brought dynamic applications, rich media and subscription to RSS feeds to the browser. Web 3.0 is so new that no-one has really nailed down a clear definition, but every indication is that it will transform the World Wide Web into a smarter, faster, and more intuitive platform for information and interaction . Elaborate: For some, Web 3.0 is the semantic web, where ordinary language can be used for complex searches. Other versions of Web 3.0 link real world geography to the web, or try to integrate the 2D web with 3D graphics. Web 3.0 probably will consist of parts of all these innovations, but far more likely is a tur...

Introduction Even though it would be prudent to define Web 3.0 in concise terms that exclude uncertainty, it is not possible as yet. Precisely because Web 3.0 is not a definite product or service, or even a spectrum that has structured guidelines. Analysis However, what Web 3.0 essentially is, is the next step in the evolution of the World Wide Web from a mere depository of information on interconnected networks, to the point where that vast repository makes sense to the primary agents that access it, viz., software agents.   Comparison with previous versions: The World Wide Web when first launched, was just an interface to access data stored on standalone terminals or servers. Web 2.0 (a t...

Every quarter or so apple tends to come up with a newer version of Iphone. Few days back we got Iphone 4G with some new jazz and bazz. Adobe is been pushed to the corner by apple over the Flash application running on Iphone platform. Now this has given to a rise of a precedented technology which was been there for a decade. However it was unearthed, revived rejunuvated to its (javascript) unprecedented protential nothing but 'Ext JS / Extended Javascript'. You can call this new phenomena Rich Internet App Library or another Javascript Library which is capable of doing almost what you do it over the flash. This is of both open source and commercial license. This is an ideal framework for dev...

Dear friends,        I am a science fiction writer. I dabble in indian fiancial systems too. Primarily my lure and love for science is more than anything i am interested in. To many science fiction may appear flights of fancy or fantasy. To me it is not so. My science fictions all have science as ingredient with a future speculation/theory.       Many science fictions have become realities. Take the case of moon travel. Jules verne foresaw journy to moon and wrote his science fiction "From the earth to the Moon". Arthur C.Clarke wrote about geostationary satellites.      Simply put, Science Fiction is science blended with fiction. It requires a special imgaination and scientific bent of mind to come up with a science fiction. A science background is essential to write science fictions as one has to grasp the nuances of science to enlarge on the ideas conceived.      Science fiction has come to be accepted as a literature by itself. It is dubbed as a literurate ideas with current...
