java is the king of all languages and when compared to .net, every time java develops anything first and then .net follows it. also considering the fact that .net is platform dependent, doesn't provide that scalability. so java is an obvious king

I agree with Nasrulain, .Net is user friendly and make possible fast development, it defeat all other techonologies if we leave security issues.

This tutorial explains all the do's while developing C# .NET software. It is very useful while running the programme, and when the programme is launched. It is mainly use ful when we want to determine, whether another programme is already running along with the main programme. The process attempts to create a Mutex object with the same name as the program. If another instance of the program is already running, that instance is made visible and input focus is set to it. Otherwise a new instance of the program is launched. Click on the link below to read the full tutorial............

In today's world of fast food, fast cars, and instant gratification, people expect to be in touch at all times. We have become conditioned to staying in touch with businesses, friends, and families. Because of this desire for instant data, we have the Internet, cell phones, Wi-Fi, MP3 players, and DVD players. As the equipment needed to drive this thirst has become smaller and smaller, we find ourselves looking for portable replacements for our bulky desktop computers. This article guides you into the exciting world of Windows mobile development so you can take advantage of an expanding opportunity to supply software to this burgeoning market. Getting Started There are currently two choices for producing mobile software using a Windows operating system: ActiveSync on XP, and—for Vista—a new interface built upon ActiveSync technology, called the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC). In the recent CoDe Focus issue on Mobile PC Development (2007, Volume 4, Issue 2), Nick Landry's...

The SkyDrive service utilizes Windows Live ID to limit access to the files the user has uploaded, allowing them to keep the files private, share with contacts, or make the files public. Publicly-shared files do not require a Windows Live ID to access. Windows Live SkyDrive The service currently offers 5GB, with a maximum upload file size of 50MB. Up to five files can be uploaded each time. Optionally, an ActiveX tool can be installed to allow drag-and-drop uploading from Windows Explorer. On its launch, Windows Live Folders (as it was then) was provided as a limited managed beta and available only to a few testers in the United States. Written by Nisan Gabbay Facebook was launched in February 2004 by Harvard undergrad students as an alternative to the traditional student directory. Its popularity quickly spread to other colleges in the US by word of mouth, and the site now registers close to 15M monthly UVs and over 6B page views per month. Facebook has completed two rounds of venture financing at very high valuations, the first at a valuation of ~$100M and the second at ~$550M (valuations are unconfirmed). These valuations were driven by the multiple acquisition offers that Facebook has reportedly turned down (the latest was a rumored $750M offer). Facebook is already generating significant revenue, so despite all the valuation and web traffic metric hype, it has also established a very real business. Interviews conducted: Noah Kagan, early product manager for Facebook. Noah will soon release an e-book on Facebook, with good insight on the social networking space. You will be able to download the book at Noah s...
