About "What Drives an Organization Forward: People or Ideas?" topic:

Running an organisation is not an easy thing there are many technicalities have to be in unison, life would have been simple, if the ride was smooth, but to make it complex, the people who aboard had the power to steer the organisation's destination, the ride could be quite bumpy.  Any industry, be it manufacturing or services, is built and driven on two major forces. One, being people, and the other being ideas.

Core product, strategy, branding, distributions, direction, goals, achievements are nothing but ideas set by people. Not looking at it from an HR perspective, the confusion is about the conflict between ideas and people. Ultimately, for an organisation to run, one of these two gains an upper hand, the other being the trade-off. The challenge is to find the sync between ideas and people. So, let us discuss like what really drives organisation forward whether it is people or the Ideas.

The strongest statement in support of the view that its the people who drive the organisation has already been mentioned by many of us, which is- that ideas are generated from people itself. I couldn't agree more with this because what the top...

I am not supporting any sides since I see both people and ideas going hand in hand. However this debate stems from an article which was Contributed by - Soumya Lattupalli, PGDBM, Batch 2007-09, XLRI, Singapore. Article posted on March 14,...

I would like to support the mutual trust between management and employees idea. Because, no relationship will stand without trust and faith. And if the organisation wants the employees to give their 100+% to the company, then, it should trust the...

In fact EOR is a very complex issue to resolve. It is not easy to predict the human nature and hence the relationship between two human beings. The relation ship between the organization and employee varies widely according to the nature of the...

Politics is the representation of vested interests. It was always a part of organizations. There are groups and cliques within organizations that have vested interests who indulge in politics to further their interests. Politics may not...

I think showing the work that you know is good for the organization you work, I would not call it as part of politics. Present times do not have influence of politics this is not a beauraucratic ground.
A. Yakin Rafiu  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  2 years ago
Within large mutinationals those who are well entrenched in the politics of the organisation often seems to get the large bonuses and also are given higher evaluation mark for doing nothing better than kotowing to all.

Sujeet Vishwakarma  |  Added idea  "Technology & System Integration"  |  1 year ago

Indian Recruiters should look over to the ponds on the east and west to gain best practice knowledge, as these markets are extremely mature, and have a lot of skills and information to offer. Indians can then apply these to their home nation, and...

In many ways, a manager has to be a leader, so therefore a manager will have many of the traits that a leader does. However, I feel the term 'manager' applies primarily to business, it's in a manager's best interest to lead his co-workers effectively, encouraging them to achieve their goals and targets. In my experience, a leader is more of a social thing; more associated with team work, too. Go to Discussion http://lnkd.in/wUJe5E

I’m an old geezer on the community network who chips in here and there. Over a period of time I get a feeling that some of our less experienced members are not too sure about what to initiate as useful topics for discussion / debate. To help them out I have put together a set of five questions which they may ask themselves before initiating discussions. May I request more experienced members to chip in with more questions / suggestions / guidelines to make the whole process more purposeful. The set follows:- 1. does the topic add value / knowledge to the community? 2. is the topic worthy of attention / discussion? 3. will the topic lead to / inspire action? 4. will other members like to refer / share it with others? 5. will someone from our community benefit from the topic?

Those of which consciousness has been waked a little more than average consciousness of the people, are not feeling the necessity of observance of any in vogue religious rites and practices. ‘Manav Dharma’ or ‘MahaDharma’ (–the obligations of humanity) is their religion (works with deep attachment like religion). Also they are disagreeing to surrender themselves to monarchy. Therefore, monarchy and religion do not want that the human race becomes enough conscious.
