'People were really looking at the profit structure of the business and for things not to be falling apart,' said Kaufman Brothers analyst Jason Avilio. Yahoo said last October it would cu...

Recession, lighter side and Punctuality Companies today are using recession as an excuse for everything under the sun. From getting rid of unproductive employees to abolishing the concept of office parties, from reducing your mobile allowance to giving you more responsibilities to handle. So much so, that if your boss hurts his toe tomorrow, he might just blame it on recession. Guys, it is time you had some fun too. You can effectively use recession rumors to get back at a colleague. Here is how: Get talking about a certain someone from your office who s/he doesn’t know well enough to approach and how s/he has got a 30 percent pay cut. Say that the HR is making a list of employees whose sal...

Gargi, your comment is very near to the actuality. Be positive. Sincere and hard work always recognised. By the way article is good enough to explain the way of working in dark days. There is a statement "LET DIFFICULTIES FEEL YOU ARE DIFFICULT"

Hyderabad June 7: Bulls may be loading up stocks and nudging up the Sensex in anticipation of fresh economic reforms by the UPA Government, but recessionary fears continue to cast a gloom in the job market, especially for the fresh MBA pass-outs this year. Despite some recent positive signals in the recession-hit economies, fresh MBA graduates still have to deal with constricted campus placements and lower availability of jobs. A survey by the Hyderabad chapter of the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) Alumni Association has shown that so far hardly 20 to 30 per cent of the pass-outs from the 90-odd MBA colleges in Hyderabad this year have been able to land jobs. “It is a more or less similar story elsewhere in the country. Campus placements have dwindled beyond expectation,” the alumni association says. Collecting data from the 90-odd MBA colleges in Hyderabad, the association points out that 20 to 30 per cent of the 10,000 graduates who passed out this year have been...
