Look after parents in their old age and leave career aside

Both are important. To look after your parents you do not have to leave your job. Instead take your parents to the residence near your work place. Let them live with you there. I do not think they will be a hindrance for your good career anytime....

your priority should be given to your career because this is what your parents have expectation from you and once you settle then you can take care of your parents.

Just go out work hard , become capable of taking your parents with you and take care of them. Earn , make a career and be a good human being..It is not as simple as it look but is the best thing one can do... You should not be confused about this..

ONE BEDROOM FLAT... WRITTEN BY AN INDIAN SOFTWARE ENGINEER.. A  Bitter Reality   As the dream of most parents I had acquired a degree in  Software Engineering and joined a company based in USA, the  land of braves and opportunity. When I arrived in the USA, it  was as if a dream had come true.  Here at last I was in the place where I want to be. I decided I  would be staying in this country for about Five years in which  time I would have earned enough money to settle down in India .  My father was a government employee and after his retirement,  the only asset he could acquire was a decent one bedroom flat.  I wanted to do some thing more than him. I started feeling  homesick and lonely as...

Hai Shrikant Manohar, You made my day today. When I opened my mail box on which notifications from Toostep are coming I was delighted to see your mail inviting me back to Toostep. I am happy that you remembered me. Thanks. I agree…it is a long time that I came to toostep. So many reasons, but one reason is that the some where in between the life of too step had lost I feel some meaningless debate, fighting between members etc. May be I am wrong. If so sorry. I know I was missing not only Toostep, but so many of my good friends too. Rathin Deb, Mohammed Baksh, Natteraja, Dr. Ali, Nitin, Ajay ziz, Naushad, You and so many others too. My regards to all. So back with an article. A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and a four-year old grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together nightly at the dinner table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating rather difficult....

An old man, staying in a small south Indian town came to visit his son in Bombay recently. The son in his early thirties is a successful businessman living with his wife and son. The father, having spent most of his life at his birthplace, hardly understands a splatter of Hindi or English, forget Marathi. But he doesn't care. 'I have come here to spend a few days with my son and his family. I don't have to go out and socialize with the city people,' he said. But the son is very excited about his father's rare visit to Bombay. He wants to make the best of it. He and his wife want to show him around the city. And yes, the son enjoys those evening hours too, when  he and his father go out and sit in a good bar, sipping their favorite  drink. Last week he was in a very good mood. 'Let's go to a five star hotel's bar tonight,' he told his father. It was a beautiful evening. Talking about everything under the sun they had a few drinks. As usual they were offered some salad, peanuts,...

China has been thriving in recent years and has been named as the “World’s factory” because of its high production and low labor cost. It seems to be a trend now to import goods from China directly since there will be middleman in between and hence one can get the latest and cheapest products.  The bitter pills for India reprieve.    Part 1.  Full article is available in the links   http://wp.me/p1ZsI2-5I    1. Introduction:  1.1. The inherent perils of Democracy. Individuality in thoughts and unrelenting desire and self centric ambition  to gain superiority over the other and being the basic instincts that differentiate the human race, a political setup that envisages a country be ruled by a government of  the people, by  the People and for the People, is more an utopian myth than a realizable reality. It is too ambitious to wish that India, a very young federal nation inheriting long embedded ethnic variations, diverse cultures, social structures, linguistic differences, and  highly dominating regional beliefs and interests, to become such an utopian democratic nation too soon.  This is one of the major perils of our type of democratic process. Nonetheless, it is only fair for every Indian to aspire to have sober and stable governments at federal level that could take...
