About "Why Getting Your Attention Is Never Enough " topic:

Today lots of companies use interesting and attention-getting ads with the brand name or major takeaway buried somewhere in the ad which is completely divorced from the attention getting element. So what happens? Consumers remember this great ad, but for the life of them have no idea what it was for or who it was by. This is a huge waste of resources.

There are many recent examples like the one showed during the recent Cricket matches in India where the Ad of "JK cement" appeared almost on all the occasions where a girl from  beach would get up and come, I mean how does it relate to the brand of "JK cement", I mean they did a great thing by making a girl in a swimwear come to the shore which many may say it was eye catching, but for what purpose, there was a total mismatch interms of product in focus and the ad. And there are many examples like this.

So, lets discuss everything about how to draw attention towards your product by using right medium where there is no mismatch interms of your product and the ad which is out there....

E thics In A dvertising        An Overview of Marketing Tactics and the Ethical Implications Advertisers employ many different strategies to sell products. Discover what some of them are and learn the ethical questions that arise from the use of such tactics. It’s no secret that advertisements are supposed to persuade you to buy a product. That’s their job. Advertising may attempt to educate you or entertain you, but beneath it all, the ultimate goal is always to sell you. So, it’s only natural that advertisers would resort to all kinds of slippery tactics as a way of getting you motivated to buy. The question is this: are these strategies ethical? Do companies have an obligation to tell th...

Good advertising that wins awards is fine, but if it's not effective, it's not worth doing. For too many companies, their advertising looks great, but doesn't deliver. To help make sure yours does, here are seven tips to ensure effective advertising.     1. Know Your Business.       Identify your strengths, weaknesses and unique features. Honesty is the best policy here. Take an objective look at your business and assess who you are in very direct terms.    2. Know Your Competition.       Know who they are and where they are located. What are their strengths and weaknesses? (Go through this process with your top 3 competitors.)    3. Position Yourself.       Develop a Unique Selling Proposi...

Unless you are a recognised brand go the Direct marketing route. Before writing a word of copy for your ad remember to create an irresistible offer. Also include a call to action in your ad. If you use an agency, ask them how they will track...

it is ethical in only certain products and has its own profits as well as side effects once the brand name is well versed to the market then there is a chance of losing the image of the parent product please tell me if i am wrong
Sheetal Jadhav  |  Argues in support of  "not ethical"  |  2 years ago
I too agree with you,  The very purpose of banning advertisements today is defeated by surrogate advertising. Here a different product is promoted using an already established brand name. Such advertisements help in contribute to brand recall....

We can't saw like that but of course  marketing plays a vital role in selling but apart from that the quality of the product which will make the selling superfluous. So a products sales depends on all the factors....... not only marketing !!!!

Why ca n’t we contain Inflation which other developed nations find it easier to do?   Inflation is the general rise in price levels. It is matter of previlages and authority that is mismatched that lead to loss in value of the currency which had been our problem for long where our currency now is so undervalued and is loosing it as a pattern for long time. It all emerges, let us forget about the standard routes of raising rates or restricting money supply or even creating autostabilizers there is a fundamental reason why we have inflation far beyond what may be required by our growth and employment. Suppose if one get an electric connection, one need to also buy an inverter to get sustained power. If one need to buy a car one need to also spend on extra demand of services every  half year. If one need to go to an office to get anything now(not now I presume) one need to spend extra income to get it to functional levels.  So on and so forth goes the extra income required to meet the...

Why China And India Don't Get Along January 4, 2011: India-China ties are set to enter treacherous waters in the coming months. This is clear from current Chinese attitudes, wherein China favors Pakistan at the expense of India. For example, China is selling a one Giga watt nuclear reactor to Pakistan and is determined to ink a civilian nuclear energy cooperation agreement with the country which has for years indulged in nuclear proliferation. China has been demanding visa applications from Indians living in Jammu and Kashmir (wishing to travel to China) but not for Pakistanis in Pakistani Kashmir. This makes it clear on whose side China is. Against the backdrop of many serious differences, the visit by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao (December 15-17) was expected to lower the temperature. It did not; instead it only exacerbated the Sino-Indian fault lines. Wen’s talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on December 16 failed to produce any dramatic results. The good thing...

Many advertisements come and go.. Few make an impression on our mind.. Impression might be good , bad and at times ugly!!! The government has cracked down on "obscene" deodorant advertisements directing advertisers to modify them or take them off air. The I B ministry has asked the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) to take action and submit a report within five days. On one side are the good ads like one of our Toostep user posted "wRite to change" ( Hath Uthao ) and on other hand are these ads.. It becomes more important because even the kids watch tv and ads will be viewed by all.. Many parents have hard time explaining to their kids that what it actually is and why should they change the channel. While the other group of people says why is this county with world's second largest population offended by sexuality? What is your point of view here?

Why is using email marketing services sometimes a better option than direct mail? There are many options available to the business or charitable organization that is in need of a way to better communicate with their target audience. Two of the most popular are email marketing and direct mail. While both have their pros and cons, email is often a better option than its traditional counterpart. This article will explain why by highlighting some of the advantages it has over direct mail. Cost Effectiveness One of the best qualities email marketing has going for it is its low cost. The price you would pay to reach hundreds or even thousands of contacts is downright cheap in comparison to trying to connect with the same number of people with direct mail. More businesses are finding out that such traditional methods are cost prohibitive in today’s economy. With direct mail, you have to factor in the cost for creating your actual marketing materials, printing it all out, and mailing it to...
