About "Creating Work Life Balance" topic:
Work-Life Balance does not mean an
equal balance. Trying to schedule an equal number of hours for each
of your various work and personal activities is usually unrewarding
and unrealistic. Life is and should be more fluid than that.
This topic is really focused on creating balance between who we are and what we do. Who are you? Are you, your job, your family, or a combination of the roles that you have in your life? We are multi-faceted human beings. To really life life to the fullest of our potential we have to create balance in the multiple facets of our lives.

What I've learned from working with my clients is that too many ignore the influence that their personal life has on their professional life and vice versa. The human being is not like a piece of furniture with separate drawers, everything is connected and each experience lived in a field impacts the other fields. How important is the impact of your life on your work and vice versa ?

'The purpose of life is to find a a life of purpose' & in my opinion, particularly in India, all common people are just striving towards serving their best to their families & the same spirit keeps things going.

HAVE. No FEAR. If you were afraid of nothing, what goals would you set? What could you accomplish? What would you do if nothing scared you or made you nervous? Fear stops success. For example, a woman who wants to get married, but she is afraid of men. So she does not get married. Or she marries someone who is wrong for her, just because he does not scare her. If you want to run a business, you will fail if you are afraid of making big decisions. If you want to be a doctor, you cannot be afraid of sick people. If you want to succeed as an athlete, you cannot be afraid of hard, painful practice. Fear of anything can ruin your success: fear of rejection, fear of being excluded, fear of anger,...

How many times have you heard someone say, 'I've been working like a dog!' or 'My boss is working me like a dog!' The idea is that if you want to be successful then you will be forced to work long hours doing something you don't like to do. Working like a dog sounds like a tiresome, serious, and joyless affair, without a hint of laughter, fun, or play. However, before you ever use the phrase 'work like a dog' again, take a moment to think about how your own dog actually spends his days. In actuality, your dog has a pretty good life, and it would be your lucky day if you could work like your dog! Everything is new, everything is exciting, everything is fun to your dog. Dogs are great role mo...

It usually takes us much longer to change our moods than we’d like it to take. Here are ten things you can do in ten minutes or less that will have a positive emotional effect on you and those you love. 1. Watch "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. See it online at Oprah.com. This is a deeply moving segment that may be the best ten minutes you've ever invested in front of a computer. 2. Spend a little while watching the sunset with your mate. Nothing extra is necessary. Just sit and take in the natural beauty of the sky and appreciate being able to share it with the one you love. 3. Sit quietly by yourself. It doesn't really matter where or when. Just let your feelings bubble up and then experience the thoughts flowing out of your mind. Clearing your head and heart will give you extra energy to get through the rest of the day. 4. Write a thank you note to your mate. When was the last time you thanked your partner for just being who he or she is and being with you? Doing this in...

What is stopping you from getting what you want in life? Your friends? Your family? A sense that failure – or success – might change your life and that feeling uncomfortable? A sense that the people around you might disapprove of you aiming for what you want, of you succeeding or failing. Essentially it boils down to fear. The big roadblock, sometimes the massive wall in the middle of road that keeps you from getting what you want. How to overcome it? Here´s some useful ways I have found so far. 1. Taking small steps This is good for fear that can seem overwhelming at first. For instance the strong feeling – it can almost feel like a flight or fight-response – just before doing public speaking or asking someone out for a date. If you´re for instance nervous socially you might not feel able to ask people out on dates right away. The fear of being rejected and that others might think less of you if you get turned down can make many of us feel unable to ask the question. A solution...
